  • The birds made sweet music all day and cicadas all night long. Saw some snakes and other wildlife. Great walking trails.

  • Quite and full of wild life, I saw 2 bucks and about 30 Doe just laying in people's front lawns. It was quite a beautiful site
  • One of our favorite places. If there were sewer hookups it would get an Excellent rating. We fish at the dock for crappie, no fishing license required when fishing in a Texas State Park! The camp sites are spacious with lots of land between neighbors. The camp Rangers are very nice and helpful. This is a really nice place to get away from city life.
  • Good park overall. Lots to do. Well maintained. Friendly, courteous staff. Among the better of the state parks.
