  • Happy 65th Birthday Solitude! I was disappointed when staff advised us to be out of the lounge at 345pm in honor of the special event closed to the public to celebrate the 65th birthday of Solitude....  more

  • We came for mountain bike lessons. Our guide, Jake, was extremely knowledgeable and SO patient with my kids. He went the extra mile to make sure we were safe, comfortable, and had fun. Highly...

  • We decided to come here, because of the easy logistics and low flight cost from Dallas to Salt Lake City. The airport proximity to the resort, the quaintness of the resort, the quality snow, all the amenities...and because the ski package includes ski lessons for 3 year olds! Not an easy thing to find. The resort has a feel of a boutique hotel, small and quaint with all the amenities, and not the crowds. Plenty of food options, hot tubs, heated pool, pool table, kids play room, a cinema room, and everything is so close in proximity, that you can easily walk to everything, and they have a superb shuttle that runs back and forth constantly from the resort to the ski rental and lifts. We are very happy with the rooms, the price point, and how quaint this place feels! We'll definitely be back!
  • Solitude was an amazing ski resort and also very little crowds for a weekend. Was able to still find fresh snow up in the honeycomb canyon region of the resort. Great value lift passes for awesome terrain.
  • Great spot to get some lesson. It was recommended by a friend who said they had the longest bunny hill. I was in. Friendly staff and instructors. I learned so much and even went back for another lesson. I made need another :). If I do That’s where I’ll be headed.
  • To be clear I did not stay in the Resort but skied Solitude *Brighton. It was my first time skiing in Utah, I stayed in the Valley and my plans were to drive up every morning via the pass - two lane road up from Cottonwood Heights. The first day up the pass (two lane road) the mountain road was clear. We got there in less than 25 minutes. Plenty of parking. The solitude slopes were great, had fresh powder and there were many great runs ranging from triple diamonds to blue to green. Most runs were short but when the summit opened we could get to the top there were really nice runs with ZERO traffic. All powder since no one else was running the Tipple D's. I found this to be true every day I skied there. The next day trying to go up the pass was a complete disaster. I like to go early, slopes open at 8am so we were on our way up about 830. It was snowing hard and the snow clearing trucks were no where to be found. Many of us, including myself got stranded. Trucks didn't show up until 10am ish. Not sure who messed the timing up but you'd think with slopes opening at 8am they'd be out at 7am. And yes they knew the snow was coming 2 days before! The 3rd day I decided to take the bus/shuttle up the pass. What a cluster. The first 3 buses showed up full, finally by the 4th bus I finally got up the mountain. The way down was the same experience. Not sure how you fix this but to have each slope - Solitude & Brighton have their OWN bus/shuttle service? The 4th day we waited bus after bus trying to go up from the Park N Ride in Cottonwood, each bus being full hours later we gave up and went home. I love the skiing but the State, City and Resorts need to improve the roads like they did to Park City. There is Solitude, Brighton and Alti who are inaccessible to those who are not staying in a lodge when snowing. The roads on a good day have heavy to dangerous traffic on two lane windy roads. A total safety issue for everyone - way out dated for 2022, these roads supported the area in the 80s fine I'm sure. What a shame and mess. Such a beautiful part of our country. The people on the slopes were fantastic. Very helpful and pleasant. Will I go here again? NEVER!!!! Total Cluster. Too bad.. as the skiing was great.
  • The mountain had just received 4+ft of snow over the previous 72 hours and it was absolutely beautiful. We did a snowshoe at the ski camp to a yurt in the middle of the woods and were provided a beautiful dinner and an awesome experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a little bit of an adventurous side that loves food and something you may never have done before.
