  • Solitude is a beautiful ski resort up in Cottonwood Canyon shortly outside of Salt Lake City. The drive can get pretty long coming in depending on the time of day you are coming up the mountain. Solitude has beautiful views and great runs. The resort is designed for intermediate to advanced level skiers/snowboarders as there is really only blue and black diamond runs here. My group had an amazing time here and would love to come back on our next trip to Salt Lake!
  • No lines, great snow, rolled out steep stuff as well as bumps if you want them. Any operator is eager to help you get to the hill you prefer, and the school trainers are kind and knowledgeable, especially good with kids. It still is what locals love to call 'home'.
  • Solitude is an amazing resort. Whether it is winter or summer, you can always find something fun to do. I have snowboarded there multiple times and my sister has had an outdoor summer wedding. As far as the ski resorts go, Solitude is a more local resort. So you will have less lines and more powder! During the summer time you can bike, hike, rock climb, and many other things. Even the drive up the canyon to the resort is so beautiful. I would certainly recommend solitude to anyone I know.
  • We went disc golfing here and the actual course was amazing! Such technical holes and absolutely breath taking scenery. The only thing that was terrible was the pizzeria that's right there in the lodge area. They charged $4.25 for a large drink.... Well all of the fountain drinks were broken and they refused a refund.... It was absolutely horrible service and those 2 individuals treated us like it was our fault.
  • My husband and I went for a party hosted by his work. The facilities were clean, appealing and well kept. The luncheon was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We then took the ski lift up to the area at the head of the hike to lake solitude. Everything was scenic and beautiful. The only complaint I would have is that even with the map there, it was a bit tricky to figure out which trail went where. it also would have been nice to have a little more to do, but I guess it is summer time so not having many activities available is understandable. Other than that, a great experience. :)
