  • We stayed 12 day and found this park to be a 5 star facility. Extremely nice and well spaced camp sites with 8 or 10 along lake shore. Good walking trails along lake and ridge also restroom and shower facilities are well kept and are kept very clean. Camp host are always willing to help visitors. Great place to visit enjoy outdoors and fish.
  • FL state campground. We visited for only one night, but we will definitely try to return because of it's condition and views. The sites are gravel, but they were well maintained. Our site overlooked the lake - beautiful. Fishing/hiking & biking trails. Our rating is only 3 stars because there is water/electric only (at least in our area), and there is no cable/wifi. It did not look like there were spaces for big rigs, so better check ahead of time. Would return.
  • Beautiful to look at but unless you fish or just want to look, it has no use for interacting in the water. There are gators in there. If I'm going to a campground I want to swim or float but you might want to go elsewhere if your like me!
  • Some sites are right on the lake, and the park does a good job of using the slope of the campground to have most sites with a nice view of the water. This park is very close to Appalachicola WMA land, so you will hear a lot of gunfire early in the morning and throughout the day. It was a nice surprise pulling into my site as the nightly rates were among the least expensive of the state parks.
  • We love this park. With having a 50 amp unit it is treat to not have to worry about what I can use. It is very clean, normally quiet, and is old Florida. I enjoy sitting out watching the wildlife. We live in Kissimmee but are there several times a year.
