  • This is a great park with a 2.5 mile paved loop which is great for walking, running, etc... It is extremely well maintained.
  • If you are self directed and looking for a quiet, peaceful place to walk, run or a leisurely bike ride - you might want to check it out. Not sure the length of the loop but I would guess it's at least a mile. In the back corner, behind the school there's an old cemetery. The stones are flat on the ground so you don't notice it until your on top of it. I believe it the old location of what they used to call the "insane asylum" which I think years later morphed into what is now Carrier Clinic.
  • Best neighborhood park. Complete 2+ mile trail quite corners to read kids and dog park
  • Picnic area, mowed flower trail, paved trail for walking, running or biking, benches by water, dog park. Love it!!!!
  • I went to this dog park on April 7th around two o’clock in the afternoon. There are three enclosures. One enclosure had about five dogs in it and the other two were empty. I decided to take my coonhound female into this section. She is quite docile and if she doesn’t like a dog she will cower beside me or run away from said dog at extreme speed. We entered the park and I noticed four people sitting around one table. I listened to a man give “dog behavior advice” to the other owners. I put that in quotes because every single thing he said was incorrect. At one point, we were on the opposite side of the enclosure, one small brown and white cattle dog mix came tearing toward my dog. They sniffed and my dog moved on. This dog started to chase her and nip at her. My dog would try to run away but this little thing was fast. My dog finally came next to me and I placed my arm between the dogs and told the strange dog to “go” and “stop”. I could see the owners were watching me but not doing anything. The little dog turned away so I started to walk further from its owners with my dog at my side. Again it started to charge my dog. I stayed calm and kept my dog calm and loudly said “excuse me your dog is nipping mine”. Nobody moved and the fake trainer man said something about how they were playing. I said “no. Please control your dog. It is scaring mine”. They refused. I started to walk the perimeter with my dog against the fence and me beside her to protect her. This dog kept trying to get at her. Still the owners did nothing. We left and went into an empty enclosure where my dog ran around until she was tired. Still I listened to this fake trainer give the dog owners bad advice. If you go to this park, be wary of this man. His voice is similar to Cesar Millan but he is taller and skinner. He also carries a large treat pouch strapped around his waist. I will not be returning to a section he is in ever again. And I feel sorry for those owners who now have bad information regarding dog behavior and training.
