On our 2 hour land tour you'll go behind the scenes to visit some of Sitka's most beautiful and historical landmarks.

At Sitka National Historic Park you'll visit the battle ground of the last major war battle between the native Tlingit tribe and the invading Russians. You'll walk through the lush and beautiful rain forest where the natives walked and discover their stories as told through the towering and haunting Tlingit totem poles and you'll experience what the Smithsonian calls "a haunting collection of Native American woodcarving art." Wildlife are abundant at Sitka National Historic Park. Depending on the time of year or other conditions, visitors could experience spawning salmon, bald eagles, minks, ravens, red squirrels, river otters, gulls, crows, and more.

You'll also visit Japonski Island, where you'll learn about Sitka's important role WWII and how the island plays a role in supporting the military today. Learn about the towering Mt. Edgecumbe, Sitka's most famous landmark and how this dormant volcano actually "erupted" causing widespread panic across the city.

And what visit to Alaska wouldn't be complete without seeing bears!? Get up close and personal with Alaskan Brown Bears at Fortress of the Bears, a rescue and rehabilitation center for orphaned brown bears.

On our popular 2 hour Whale Watching boat tour you'll experience the whales and marine wildlife like no other tour in Sitka. Listen to the haunting songs of the humpback whales with our underwater hydrophone. Sitka's pristine waters are a favorite habitat of whales because of the abundant food sources. You might also see gray whales and orca whales, depending on the season. Other marine life you may experience include harbor seals, sea otters, Stellar sea lions, abundant birds.   • Didn’t see whales except a tail so that part was a bit sad. But I still had fun with the tour guide and the boat ride was great.
