  • Used to be Main Street, until a number of gully-washers let residents know that you don't want to fool Mother Nature. They are doing a good job of turning it into a nice nature walk.  more »
  • Beautiful, shady treasure. Upriver end a bit tacky and iffy, but main area through town is wonderful. A few picnic table would be great in that part.  more »
  • We strolled through here yesterday morning. It's scenic, in it's own way and there is some very interesting and nice art on the walls fronting the old main street. However, there was a bit of litter d...  more »

  • I was born in Silver City 1948. I used to cross over the "arroyo" Big Ditch when I attended elementary school 1953-1957. It was on a very narrow steel bridge which I found scary but I had to do it. I also remember playing in the arroyo but I can't remember how we got down into it. Must have been a path somewhere. I still consider Silver City my home town with cherished memories of my family & friends.
  • Again while in Silver we walked along the creek. If you find a place with pictures of the big floods of the past you will learn why this is named the Big Ditch. That said just take a stroll along the creek in old down town Silver City. it is a wonderful, peaceful, shady, series of benches, stairs and walkways along the creek. With several bridges it is easily accessible from either side of the creek and is a nice escape, especially on a warm afternoon. Sometime it is a great place to read undisturbed. Sometimes it is the site of a roaring creek. Come on over and take a walk, it is always pleasing!
  • the history behind this is incredible a must see
