Turtle Beach, Siesta Key

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3.5/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Enjoy beach activities or go for a stroll at Turtle Beach. The beach is rarely crowded, which makes it a favored destination for nesting sea turtles. Facilities include restrooms, showers, a playground, picnic tables, and free parking. You'll find ramps for launching boats, though the water is easily accessible for kayaks and canoes, too. The sand on the beach is coarse and can get rather hot during the warm days, so consider wearing flip-flops or sneakers. The beach drop-off is relatively steep, providing excellent opportunities for shelling and snorkeling. Keep an eye on the kids, though, because there are no lifeguards. Turtle nests are visibly marked and should not be disturbed. Plan your visit to Turtle Beach and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Siesta Key trip builder.
