Create an itinerary including Turtle Beach
Enjoy beach activities or go for a stroll at Turtle Beach. The beach is rarely crowded, which makes it a favored destination for nesting sea turtles. Facilities include restrooms, showers, a playground, picnic tables, and free parking. You'll find ramps for launching boats, though the water is easily accessible for kayaks and canoes, too. The sand on the beach is coarse and can get rather hot during the warm days, so consider wearing flip-flops or sneakers. The beach drop-off is relatively steep, providing excellent opportunities for shelling and snorkeling. Keep an eye on the kids, though, because there are no lifeguards. Turtle nests are visibly marked and should not be disturbed. Plan your Turtle Beach visit and explore what else you can see and do in Siesta Key using our Siesta Key online tour itinerary maker.

  • We stayed at turtle beach resort, and it was awesome. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was good.

  • Loved the fact that it was less crowded, and a bit further on down from Siesta Key beach. You can take the free trolley in Siesta Key and it will drop you right off at the beach. Plenty of parking.

  • This beach is AMAZING! It's not as busy, the water is crystal clear, black sand beaches and the shells!!! If anyone has anything bad to say about this beach they are just complainers! Free parking too
  • My most favorite beach in Sarasota at the very bottom of Siesta Key. Forever parking with 10 Beach access walkovers. Gulf on one side and lagoon on the other. 2 public boat ramps with decated parking, kayak launches, playground, covered picnic, the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and world famous beach.
  • Amazing beach with great landscape and clean shell and sand based beaches. Such a nice place to bring your family and chill. Gorgeous and stunning.
  • Another beautiful beach. Sand is way different...I'd suggest to wear swim shoes...sand is rough on the feet after awhile of walking.
  • Pretty beach. Easy to find and access. We saw a kayak rental nearby. The sand seemed rough in comparison to the Siesta Key beach. There were definitely better shells here when we were looking than Siesta Key beach. Not a flat layout to put your stuff on. There is a bathroom a little walk away. Showers are available to rinse your feet or body off. We did not see any turtles on o it visit.
