  • This is a goofy place. It is part museum and part store. I remember more stuff the last time I was here. It is a good place to spend an hour or less.
  • I really enjoyed the unique gifts, antiques, and especially the clocks. They had several unique bee/honey products. Friendly staff.
  • The most interesting thing in the barn was the beehive. They even had chairs available to sit and watch the bees at work behind glass. However most of the building was antique vehicles and equipment s...  read more »
  • We love The Yellow Barn. Every time we visit we have a blast! The scenery and staff are exquisite!
  • Went here a couple of years ago and had a ton of fun. Now that my son is old enough I would love to take another trip out here to both the caverns and The Yellow Barn. To me it is much more enjoyable than the more famous Luray as that has become so commercialized.
  • The "plumlicious wine" and the candies made of pure honey are my favorites.
  • I was traveling from Pennsylvania to North Carolina with 3 adults and 5 children (infant, 2, 3, 6, & 9). We needed a place to stop about halfway so we could picnic and stretch. We happened upon this gem and we are so glad we did! The scenery is beautiful and the staff is welcoming and friendly. We had fun looking around at all of the stuff in the gift shop and the kids enjoyed seeing the wall of honey bees and interacting with the mechanical tree and squirrels. Outside, we were treated to a "train ride" all around the grounds and we even got to see some goats! We were unable to make it to the caverns because of time, but we will be going back and I would highly recommend this stop to anyone looking for something fun to do with the family in Virginia! Thank you to all of the wonderful people there and for being the first highlight of many on a fun, family vacation!!!!
  • I wouldn't have stopped at the Yellow Barn if I hadn't heard they had goats, rabbits, and chickens (sounds like a petting zoo, right? It's not). It was free, so that's nice, and I'm sure it's better in warmer months, but I won't go back, even if we do the caverns again. It's an overgrown gift shop, that's about it.
