  • This is a peaceful park. There are nice running/walking trails with stations along the way with minimal equipment and instructions where you can do simple workouts and stretches. There are well-built and fun playgrounds with picnic areas, bathrooms, a beautiful lake with fishing allowed and paddle boats to rent. The park is easy to find, and the workers are friendly. It is $10 for a yearly pass and $3 for a day pass to drive into the park. There are large parking areas. Also, in the middle of the park is a nature center and a reconstruction of an old town.
  • One of our favorite parks to visit. Fun for the whole family. Great trails, playgrounds, plenty of shelters and picnic areas, pet friendly, and activities for everyone young to old. Fish, kayak, canoe, paddle boat, or just go exploring. Wildlife is abundant, we have seen everything from squirrels and snakes to turtles and ducks. Lots of native plant species on the trails. 4 waterfalls and nice sized lake.
  • My favorite local park. There are enough trails to piece together a 5 mile walk/run. At least 2 large play areas for children.
  • Great Park, very clean and with fun activities to enjoy. Biking, running, canoeing or paddle boating. A huge playground for the kids at the main entrance and the one off Kemper Rd as well. Huge picnic area, great hiking trails and amazing scenery specially when fall colors come rolling in. The lake does sometimes need cleaning from algae, but usually a heavy rain takes care of that. This park is a great place to go on a date, or bring the kids out to play. Fun for all ages. They do have a gift shop that is open seasonally, but the prices are as you would expect at any park...so bring your own snacks. (drinking fountains are available)
  • Nice park with a nice paved path around the lake a little over 2 miles. Much of it wooded. Gorge path is nice as well. Many nice picnic shelters.
