The Apple Barn and Cider Mill, Sevierville

(4.2/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Nestled in the Smoky Mountains and featuring an orchard of more than 4,000 apple trees, The Apple Barn and Cider Mill includes a winery, cider bar, creamery, candy factory, restaurant, and general store. Initially used for storing farm equipment and sheltering animals, the barn grew into a shop where you can browse through various country products. Visit the bar within the barn to sample apple ciders by the glass, try fried apple pies and apple stack cakes, or just have a coffee with ice cream on the side. Purchase homemade candies prepared on site, including chocolates, peanut brittle, and fudge. You also can check out the selection of fruit wines, such as apple-raspberry, apple-peach, and apple-strawberry. • This tourist attraction truly is not worth the ridiculous wait times and disproportionate pricing. The food is good, but proportions are inconsistent at best and often you don't get what you paid for.  more »

  • I have been coming for years with my family every October. We loved the food and atmosphere. I noticed last year the restaurant was not quite up to par but returned this year with anticipation that it would be different. I was very disappointed. Not only were the apple fritters chewy and not crispy but I was taken back when told that my hot tea did not come with refills. Really !! The eggs were not good and how hard is it to cook eggs. They also did not have real Splenda or sweet n low.. The wait staff was apologetic and I did appreciate her. Sometimes customer service should be ahead of profit. Will NOT return.
  • Read a lot about the apple fritters and people were correct! We got plenty of them along with a very hearty breakfast. Welcoming and attentive waitstaff made for a nice start to the day!
  • Great food and great service.. Our waiter was Brad and he was very nice and got our order right... He was very good and we liked talking to him... Keep up the good work....
  • Great complex with many shops and restaurants with delicious country items. My family especially enjoyed the farmhouse restaurant. The service was great. The food was equally great and it kept coming for a very reasonable price. This is a must stop place for anyone visiting the area.
  • So much variety, packed in a small space! There's a restaurant (which I didn't get to visit because of time constraints), a creamery, a bakery, a chocolate shop, a candle and fragrance shop, basically anything you might think even vaguely related to country lifestyles. Samples everywhere!
