Nestled in the Smoky Mountains and featuring an orchard of more than 4,000 apple trees, The Apple Barn and Cider Mill includes a winery, cider bar, creamery, candy factory, restaurant, and general store. Initially used for storing farm equipment and sheltering animals, the barn grew into a shop where you can browse through various country products. Visit the bar within the barn to sample apple ciders by the glass, try fried apple pies and apple stack cakes, or just have a coffee with ice cream on the side. Purchase homemade candies prepared on site, including chocolates, peanut brittle, and fudge. You also can check out the selection of fruit wines, such as apple-raspberry, apple-peach, and apple-strawberry. • Nothing special. The gift shop is definitely over priced. Expensive cider, but man their bakery items are great. Warm donuts and muffins! Tasty!
  • Apple coffee - amazing. Apple crumbled- heavenly. Apple cider/slush - Devine. Award winning wines - to die for. Fresh baked breads and sweets. Caramel apples, pies, ice cream, jams, crafts... need I s...  read more »
  • Good way to pass some time if you enjoy wine. My wife and I do this trail every year it consist of six of the areas local wineries each of which offer their own selections of wine.
  • Nice general store that is definitely driven around the theme of apples. If you are into the apple theme this is the place to go. If not then it may not interest you. Items available for decorating the interior of your house. Basket loft in the upstairs portion if you are in need of a new basket. Of course, if you are looking for appple butter then you will have hit paydirt. As with most places like this many of the items can be pricey. If you are looking for items on sale you probably won't find much. There is also a restaurant and creamery on premises but did not have time to check them out.
  • Great complex with many shops and restaurants with delicious country items. My family especially enjoyed the farmhouse restaurant. The service was great. The food was equally great and it kept coming for a very reasonable price. This is a must stop place for anyone visiting the area.
  • Very nice place to visit. I have still yet to eat at the restaurant. Participated in the free wine tasting and I liked everything I tried. Beautiful property and landscaping is immaculate. Very nice staff and is a great place to just walk around and take in all the views.
  • Waiter was great and food was wonderful. Had the fried chicken and mac and cheese, husband had meatloaf. The apple fritters are AMAZING and the apple butter is so delicious!! Great place to eat and not to expensive.
  • This review is for the ice cream only. While I've never had bad ice cream this is about as close to bad as I've had. The waffle cone seemed stale and had bad texture and flavor. The ice cream was cold and that's about it. It really lacked in flavor and even had bad texture for ice cream. We did do a wine tasting too and did enjoy that. There were some interesting wine flavors with an apple theme of course.
