  • This is just awe inspiring. So much beauty and so many Giant sequoias in one place. We are so fortunate that this gem is still protected  more »
  • Grant Grove is located at the North Gate of Sequoia Park and is a stage that should never miss when visiting the Park. The trail that leads to General Grant, who is also the official Christmas tree in the United States, is completely flat and sports many other giants. Compared to other areas of the park here is definitely peace of mind as it is less visited. For a complete tour serve on average 30 minutes. To use the toilets, bar and to recharge the bottles of water you can go to the Village that it is walking distance.

  • Awesome place to visit these Giant 2000 year old trees make us seem so small in this universe. Recommended off trail across from Grant Tree sign there's a giant downed tree that you can actually crawl through, great for the daring but can be a difficult for some people and small kids. You can get a great picture through the tree and out the top. Enjoy
  • Massive ancient redwoods and sequoias. Awesome paved walking trails that are easily accessed. Good place to observe smaller wildlife and an occasional deer. Informative signs located around the trails that tell history of the area.
  • I've been going to Grant Grove since a young kiddo and I can tell you all about the hiking spots. Beautiful place to visit throughout the season during the year!!
  • Just breathtaking.

Where to stay in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks provide plenty of lodging right inside their boundaries. Kings Canyon operates three lodges and a set of cabins, with two of the lodges and the cabins remaining open throughout the year. Of these, the John Muir Lodge sits closest to the entrance. The parks also offer more than a dozen campgrounds about equally distributed between them, with most operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Campsites fill up quickly on Friday nights in summer, but you should be able to find a place for your tent any other time during the week. Your accommodation options expand if you look along Sierra Road to the west of the parks. Motels, nature resorts, inns, bed and breakfasts, and lodges line the road, which runs alongside the North Fork Kaweah River.
