  • Beautiful hiking trail usually just, only slight gradients, from General Sherman Tree. Very much recommended! It took us 1 1/2 h for the tour, but with many photo stops.

  • of course, we have paid even a short visit the General Sherman Tree, but the really nice and impressive was the Congress trail. With many other visitors from the parking lot, it downhill to the General. If you then take the turn-off left in the Congress trail, it doesn't take long, and you can of course not alone, enjoy absolutely beautiful and stunning nature but with considerably more calm. Sequoias in all sizes and configurations. Individually and in groups. You visited the "President", is still "General Lee" and "McKinley" amazement before the "Senate" and "House" to visit. Really a very nice experience. Of course needed some time and also some perseverance to wander off the trail in the long form. But he is really very well done and it was great fun also our teenagers. The trail is good to do because it offers plenty of shade in the summer.
