The Tides Golf Club Reviews
The Tides Golf Club Golfed with my Wife yesterday, I cannot believe what they charged to Golf this I guess they call it a Golf Course, this is the Worst Course we have played in Florida, I cant even i... more »
I️ feel like the course could be a LOT of fun, if they just spent some money. Lots of downed trees, and the greens and tee boxes were horrible! Bartender makes a great drink though!! more »
We played this course a couple of weeks after a hurricane so the larger downed hadn’t been removed yet, not a huge deal. The layout is wide open and not all that difficult. The staff was nice and the ... more »
The only reason they get 1 star is because the golf carts are the nicest ones I've used, other then that it was garbage. over $30 to play at a golf course that is almost unplayable. 9/10 times you walk on the green you laugh from the condition. 1/2 the time you have to pick up your ball and find a patch of fairway to hit it off of, and whatever fairway there is, is just mowed over weeds.... it's quite pathetic. the green are like putting on carpet. it may just be the location right on the water and in the mangroves that makes it so unmanageable. either way, I would only play here if it was 15 or less and its double that. Just booked a tee time for Lansbrook for 54 for 3 people, can't wait to play at a good course for a good price!
Wow where do I start? I sat here and defended this course to one of my buddies for over an hour so we could play. Well, I had to eat some humble pie when we got there. The fairways were 90% dirt and weeds, the greens were like putting on carpet (maybe even worse on certain holes) $35 to play this course is absolutely absurd. The only positive thing I can say is; their Yamaha golf carts are probably some of the nicest I’ve used. Other than that, that course was in such bad shape I could literally do nothing but laugh because it was literally a joke! Now, I understand the hurricane probably did a lot of damage since the course is only less than a foot above sea level but, if that’s the case then why in the world are you charging so much for a course in such poor condition? I think it’s probably the worst course in pinellas county right now....and that’s unfortunate because 5 years back I can remember how beautiful that course could be....not sure if it’s new management or what but something needs to be done. Just terrible. Like I said, literally made me die laughing everytime I walked up to a green. Sad. Very sad.
Great place for the price! Front nine is nicer than the back. The back is a little more open. Very friendly staff. Had a good time. Worth the time to play. Enjoy
Looks nice. Went to buy gift certificates and plan to go play myself.
I played "The Tides" a little over a year ago and at that time it was in pretty good shape. Sadly, today 11/10/17 that is NOT the case. First off as soon as we arrived at the club house the strong smell of sour carpet hit us in the face. The whole facility had a very worn and need for upkeep appearance. Caulking in the Men's room was falling out and the floor was well worn. The outside was screamimg for a good cleaning and some paint. Next we moved to the first tee. It was nicely elevated and offered a spectacular and unusual starting hole for any course in Florida. But that is where it stoped. It has been nearly two months sense the hurricane and ther are still many downed threes throughout the course. The Rough was untrimed and growing wild, littered with trash, cans and drink bottles. Nearly every fairway was bald or had hugh cuts and clumbs everywhere. And as for the greens, I most say they really where interesting with a lot of undulation, but where barley playable. This course more closely resembles a cow pastor rather than a golf couse. The staff should be ashamed to ask $42.00 to play this once beautiful course. It will be a very, very long time, if ever that I return.
