  • After a morning at Slide Rock, we stopped at the Trout Farm on our way back to Sedona. My sons really wanted to go fishing. The "farm" provided the gear and taught us everything we needed to know from...  read more »

  • This trout farm, you can not only for money but also for fishing try your catch for little money. Catch fish, however, is not it a lot, so that children would be a win-win option. An excellent replacement for the Al fresco restaurant.

  • What a great time! This was a super cool afternoon adventure! A nice day trip from Phoenix. Caught some fish for lunch and had the freshest fish of my life. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Can't wait to come back again.
  • I have a great memory from here. I took my 4 young sons fishing in Flagstaff. We didn't catch anything, not even a nibble. On the way home I decided to detour down Oak Creek Canyon and try fishing here. They use cane poles (no reel) which takes some getting used to. The trout aren't dumb either. We eventually all caught one, but not before 2 of my kids hooked me with their poles at the same time. One in my back, the other my rear end. The staff came out, playfully laughing with me, unhooked me. They cleaned our trout and we had a great dinner. A little more expensive than what you'd get at the store, but with all the experience!
  • MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE EVER. As soon our family arrived, my 6 year old daughter was sooo excited she quickly purchased food to throw into the small pond to "feed the fish." There were so many people standing around the little pond fishing, she wanted to try it. She grabbed a net that was out in the open. I thought it was for customers to use. I also have a 1 year old daughter with me. As my 6 year old put the net in the water. An older man with a mullet stormed out of the little building and yelled at us to "get out now!" at the top of his lungs and got in our face. Everybody there stopped and looked at him. I was kind of in shock as I didn't understand or even realize why he was angry. I quickly picked up my toddler and as we were walking out he was still screaming, "I'm serious you need to get the f*** out now! And I'm going to record you until you get off my property." He did. My husband stepped in and told him we were leaving and he doesn't have to be rude and disrespectful. He yelled and said ,"This is my business, I can do whatever I want! Out!!" My kids were frightened! He said we weren't allowed to use nets and that if we can't follow rules we had to get the f out. I never knew or saw the sign with his rules. The nets were out in the open. I noticed the ridiculous prices tho. Never again. He could have pulled me aside and told me to leave politely for grabbing a net but he chose to humiliate us in front of all those people which is fine, but the kids is what hurt me. That is not the ethical way to treat customers. Learn respect and common courtesy.
  • I liked the fact that catching fish was easy. We caught 6 trout in a matter of minutes. It smells wierd and can get crowded at times. Their biggest downfall is the wait to clean the fish after you catch them. I waited in line for almost an hour and there was only one person ahead of me. They do a great job cleaning and gutting the fish and are under staffed. There was only one guy cleaning and gutting. He was awesome!
  • Family had the best time. You can grill your rainbow trout. Jake was super knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back. It is a safe, educational experience for the kids.
