#1 of 11 in Trails in Sedona
Hiking Trail Nature / Park
Home to the area's largest sandstone arch, Devil's Bridge Trail offers visitors a chance to explore and experience rugged terrain without the strain of an intense hike. Lined with cacti, rock formations, and desert foliage, the trail provides the opportunity to hike to the top of its namesake arch as well as its shaded underside. Though the 2.9 km (1.8 mi) roundtrip hike from the trailhead is moderately difficult, it's fully paved and accessible to hikers of all levels and capabilities. Keep in mind that the arch itself is not fenced off, so exercise caution. • We hiked by foot from where the Chuck Wagon trail meets the Mescal trail. It's a longer hike but avoiding all the dust on the jeep path makes it worth it. The hike does go in and out of tree areas so ...  more »
  • We were lucky that we had rented the 4x4 razors from Sedona ATV so we drove all the way up the hill and parked at the bottom where the trail starts. The hike was nice, straight up at the end. Great vi...  more »
  • The hike is LONG, much longer than it says (1.1 miles each way). We tracked our hike and it was 3 miles each way from where we parked (main street). The hike consists of climbing up and down rocks to ...  more »

  • There are two parking lots depending on vehicle type. Relatively easy 4WD dirt road for high clearance vehicles leads to Devil's Bridge Trail Parking Lot which cuts off about a mile each way from the overall distance. All other low clearance cars park at Dry Creek Vista. The trail itself is fairly easy except for the last leg going up and there will be lots of people throughout the day at this popular location. Busy but not necessarily crowded. Late afternoons near sunset provide the best light for pictures.
  • Amazing place to visit.... Doesn't really take a lot of time for the trail... You can finish this trail in as little as 4 hours while spending one hour at the bridge.... The view is spectacular... Classic of Sedona and Arizona in all its beauty.... Early morning or noon will be the best time to visit... And for photography...
  • This was enchanting. A few miles hike to a natural stone bridge with breathtaking views. Not too challenging, but not a walk in the park either. I saw several people with their dogs, and a few with young kids. Definitely worth your time.
  • The hike is not so difficult, the bridge itself is nice and wide even though it spans a 200 ft drop. Pictures look amazing if you get a friend to take them from the opposite cliff.
  • Wow! What a beautiful hike. I would say hike the road for about a mile from the parking area... Trailhead will be on your right. You can't get lost because there are a lot of people going to the same place. Not that strenuous..Just take your time. It's worth it!!
