  • A bit overrun with tourist vehicles during popular times (like mid-afternoon to sunset) but a fantastic view and loop hike if you can get an early enough start. Airport Mesa is known locally as a "masculine" vortex, so not the most relaxing place to star if you have just arrived in town and feel a bit ungrounded or anxious. Start with Red Rock Crossing or even Cathedral Rock.
  • Make sure you have your sunscreen and water. The breeze can feel cool in the mountains but the sun effect is still very quick to burn. We did a three mile trail and were embarrassed when a couple in their late 70s had just finished 5 miles in the upper mountain trail!
  • A must see when in the area. Breathtaking, I can spend hours up here!
  • The easiest panoramic view of Sedona you can find. Everyone should visit here at least once in their life.
  • Nice views lot of photographers go there at sunset
