  • I wanted to stop here to break up the long I-70 haul and because of all the great reviews. However, we found it to be only mildly interesting. Our guide didn't seem real interested in it either. It wa...  more »

  • The views are very nice from the lodge. You have to pay for a tour to see the inside of the house. No self guided tours. It is currently about $14 for a family of four. Google says the lodge closes at 3, but the last tour starts at 3 and last 50 mins. Tours are capped at about 15 people. The rest of the state park (playground, picnic area, etc) has the same hours of other state parks.
  • Bothwell Lodge is well worth a stop, and the tour was great fun. The lodge has an entertaining story, lots of history, amazing Craftsman style architectural details, and is chock full of period correct furniture. The tour gives a great perspective on the Bothwell family and the grounds of the park beyond the lodge are lovely and well-kept.
  • Beautiful! The lodge is a neat bit of Sedalia history. Great for bird watching as well.
  • We loved it. Very cool tour. I wish it were warmer so we could have walked the trails.
  • Absolutely beautiful place with beautiful views! Definitely worth the day trip!
