Iron Horse Vineyards, Sebastopol
(4.4/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
The winery is best known for its Sparkling Wines, which have been served at the White House for a quarter century. The Chardonnay radiates elegance and Pinot Noir is the winery's rising star wine.

Iron Horse's Tasting Room is outdoors, rustic and renowned for being exceptionally warm, welcoming and "real". Iron Horse is a working winery (rather than a grandiose visitor center), appreciated for offering a genuine experience of wine country. http://ironhorsevineyards.com/

  • Perched on a hill overlooking estate vineyards, Iron Horse's outdoor tasting has a truly West county vibe. Their sparkling wines are stupendous, and the atmosphere is like a fun cocktail party, not a ...  more »

  • Has been one of my favorite wineries until a recent visit. We had arranged an appointment (now a requirement along with a $25 tasting fee, and credit card info required to schedule appt) for 2PM on the day the winery also has grilled oysters to pair with the wine. We had arranged the day's schedule particularly for this visit as Iron Horse is a bit removed. When we arrived, we were unceremoniously told by the girl collecting our credit card for payment that they were out of oysters. All we got was a "Sorry, out of oysters!" Half our day was blown.
  • It is a popular place and there is an "adventure road" to get there. All outside. Fun and friendly. Sparking wines are good.
  • Loved the Pinor Noirs! Great cured and friendly staff
  • Specialising in sparkling wines, Pinot noir and chardonnay. Stunning open air setting in the hills. They also serve raw and broiled oysters on Sunday's. A flight of 5 wines is $25.
  • Good view, good wine and good service. but not a good road to get in.
