  • A lot of unique spices and things like beet powder (not so much for flavor but really good for adding color two things). Not very expensive, reasonable price, cute store right in the heart of Seattle
  • Definitely a must go place if you're in Seattle. Tons and tons of spices from all over the world that you can try. There are tons of recipes and other suggestions for all the spices they have I would definitely recommend this place.
  • They have a great selection of plain and mixed herbs and spices from all over, with a searchable, functional website to boot. When ordering online, you can opt to pick up in store to avoid the lines (which do exist sometimes). It does take until the next day for the pick up in store option, but you get an email when your order is ready. The only caveat for me is that they don't know much about Cajun or Creole cooking, though they have some appropriate spices for it.
  • It's worth finding your way down from the market to western ave for this spice shop. Very fresh inventory and world expanding proprietary blends.
  • Freshest and most high quality spices and teas. Their blends are amazing and hard to find items no problem. Staff is knowledgeable.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
