  • I first visited three years ago on a flying trip. We barely had enough time to cruise the market and stop at this shop. What a find! They have a wide range of spices and teas, and their house blends a...  read more »

  • For those who would like to jazz up their preparation of food a bit with one, two or more fresh spices from around the world, then this is the place to come. Dozens sit on display in jars, where custo...  read more »
  • The freshest and best spices in the city. They sell mostly commercially and this is their retail outlet. Almost everything is hand measured/ground to your specifications. They always ask if you would like lavender included on your herbs de provence, for example.
  • This is one of my favorite stores in the world. I can spend 12 bulks and feel like I am treating myself to a luxury fit for royalty. Some of my favorites are the sweet smoked paprika (great on deviled eggs or hummus), the chorizo bomb (amazing in beans), and the salmon rub- totally distinctive NW flavor. When I first tried their paprika, I realized I had never really tasted paprika before. It's impossible to go back. They carry the best of everything.
  • Holy cow. World Spice is amazing. These guys have everything you could imagine. I also think that it's pretty great that their spice blends are salt-free. That lets you add as much or little as you want, though it could be confusing for someone who thinks you can just add these magical spices/blends to your food and be satisfied - don't forget to add a pinch of salt! My favorite is by far the harissa blend, but other fantastic choices are the berbere, chilli powder-ancho, and the amazing ras-el-hanout (think ultra-fragrant Algerian/Moroccan food). I've also gotten standard single spices there - cumin, smoked paprika, cinnamon... They have EVERYTHING. The prices are very reasonable, considering you can buy some garbage-McCormick stale spices for 10 times the price/oz at the grocery store, or get freshly ground, potent and well balanced spices from these friendly people. I love world spice and they keep my kitchen happy and friends impressed.
  • Quality ingredients fresh ground in front of you. The amount of knowledge and recipe inspirations they are excited to share makes this place exceptional.
  • amazing selection of herbs and spices. not exactly exhaustive or the most competitive pricing, but it's fresh and they have hundreds of options. my go-to for meat rubs and obscure international ingredients.
