Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.

  • Magnuson Park is one of the best that Seattle has to offer. It has the biggest off leash area for dogs and even a beach just for the dogs. There are great views along the lake and numerous walks and t...  more »
  • Headed here on a clear day - sat on a hill and had a picnic dinner with great views of Mt. Ranier and the Cascade Range in the distance. Also has great paths along the water and through the park.  more »

  • Huge park with various recreational areas, gardens, hidden gems of various apple and crab apple trees, quite a bit of pond, bat, and bird wildlife. Open spaces for the family, great hill to fly kites or for some practicing belaying. Fairly large dog park as well. An interesting place with a solid history in the Seattle region.
  • Great park to take your doggies swimming and get some socialization. Tons of area to roam and play. Just be careful leaving valuables in cars there.
  • I have been here for plays, Bright Horizons walk on and other events. Great park, tons to do. Big soccer, rugby and football fields. Nice big playgrounds and dog park.
  • Huge spread out park with lots of different activities to chose from. I love dog watching at "Bark Beach". Those little guys can always make me smile. It's better than tv.
  • One of my favorite parks! There is so much to explore and so many things it has to offer. Greta beach, one of the best dog parks in Seattle, playground, sports fields, barbeques, and so much open space! I love love this park!
