  • We loved our tour to Mt Rainier. Brian was our guide and did an exceptional job. We were picked up at the front of our hotel early in the morning. We did have a few stops to pick up the other people on our tour but it was fine. Brian kept us entertained on our ride up to Mt Rainier and pointed out a lot a landmarks as we left downtown Seattle and was very informative. We made a stop at Safeway for food and snacks and a bathroom break halfway to Mt Rainier. We also made a stop at a beautiful waterfall in addition to a few other stops on the way up for pictures. We spent about 2 hours up on the mountain where my son was able to see snow for the very first time! At the end of the day Brian took us back to the hotel and we also had the option to be dropped off somewhere else as well which was really nice. This tour is worth taking and I would highly recommend it.
  • Absolutely incredible tour. We had Lucinda as our tour guide, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the Pacific Northwest's history and environment, but was also an extremely kind and helpful person. The door to door shuttle came right to our hotel to pick us up, and an uber was called to take us directly back to our hotel so the rest of the group could be dropped off at their hotels in downtown Seattle. The drive up to Sunrise was beautifully scenic, and Lucinda gave an amazing summary of the history of the area the entire way there. We got to Sunrise and had about two hours to hike on our own before we travelled back down the mountain to visit other scenic viewpoints. This tour was an amazing value, and I highly recommend anyone looking in the area looking for a tour service to try Tours Northwest.
  • We thought this was a great way to learn all the sites of Seattle and get an idea of where we wanted to go back to spend more time. Knowledgeable and friendly guide who picked us up at our hotel (which was so convenient!). We were very pleased with our three hour tour and have already mapped out the things we want to do based upon our tour. Definitely recommend this tour!
  • It was a really great experience, and our guide, Adam, knew a lot about the region. He gave plenty of interesting and fun information that made it a lot more than just a trip up the mountain. That said, I think I would have preferred "just a trip up the mountain." While the website advertises that you can hike as much or as little as you want, the max amount of hiking you could do on this trip was actually about 45 minutes of the whole 8+ hours. For some, that could be a plus, but I was ever so mildly disappointed. It didn't provide the flexibility to do a lot of hiking. Even so, I had a wonderful time. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing day at Mt. Rainier, with plenty of opportunity for taking scenic photos or soaking in the scenery. For more hiking, I'd recommend you stay at a hotel or inn near the park.
  • My wife and I took the 3 in 1 tour of downtown Seattle, Pikes market, and Boeing. This ended up being the highlight of our trip! Gary was an amazing, kind, and fun tour guide. He was really knowledgeable of the area and took us places that we never would have thought about on our own. We are really glad we did this tour and are really interested in their other offerings!

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
