  • It was the second time we did a Duck Tour. The first time was in Boston, and although we liked Boston better than Seattle, the Duck Tour in Seattle was a lot nicer! It began with the fact that there i...  more »
  • What a fun way to see the sites and learn some facts about the area. Covered a lot in a little time. Great for all ages!  more »
  • We decided to do this tour on short notice as a way to see the city without alot of walking. The stairs to get on the duck are a bit steep and could cause a problem for some. You might want to bring a...  more »

  • Great experience. We were on the last tour of the day and the energy level of our guide, Dot, was amazing. Those expecting an all serious historical tour should chill out and realize they DID sign up for a Duck Boat Tour! It's part serious but mostly just fun.
  • This is a goofy thing to do. It's mostly directed at families and kids, but we had fun. Just to ride in that type of vehicle out in to Lake Union was worth it. Our guide was pretty entertaining and she told us some cool factoids about the area. It was a little too much dancing and singing and clapping for me, but I would still recommend the experience.
  • The tour was decent. Not a ton of history nor architecture. Having recently done tours in Chicago it was simply not as developed. The concept of land and water tour was the big sales point and it fulfills that goal. A lot depends on the guide. A good guide will make your experience. Accept you'll deal with the wafting smell of pot as your travel through the city and the most annoying part of downtown won't bother you.
  • Awesomely fun ride!! With much credit to Dot ( Dorothy), our tour guide. She made the trip hilarious and entertaining!! Great Job!! You get land and water experience!! A must for any Seattle visitor.
  • This was one of the best things we did on our vacations. We visited all the normal tourist stops and decided to Ride the Duck. Kids absolutely loved it! Definitely something I'd love to do again!

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
