Explore the historic heart of Seattle, admire the architecture, and experience the art scene and nightlife at Pioneer Square. The neighborhood is located on the spot where the city's founders settled more than 150 years ago. The majority of the area's buildings originated during the late 19th century. Today they house a selection of art galleries, restaurants, bars, shops, and clubs. You can also visit several museums that tell the story of the area's history. Underground tours and ghost tours let you see the neighborhood from a different perspective. Book a Segway tour for something totally different. Take a look at our Seattle trip itinerary maker to schedule your visit to Pioneer Square and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • A great up and coming neighborhood in Seattle with incredible non-franchise restaurants. The area has a very rustic atmosphere with old brick buildings. It's one of the best neighborhoods to watch sporting events whether you're attending a game or just watching it at a bar or restaurant.
  • Very refreshing walk seeing the sights of old Washington. A friend and I happened to come by as some people were filming a movie. A car scene. Didn't get to go on the tour because it was a little expensive for our tastes, so we stuck to walking around and visiting the restaurants and bars. A neat place to visit!
  • There is so much to do in Pioneer Square, Seattle's historic district. Great restaurants. Friendly vibe. Get lost in the old town.
  • There is a lot of history in these downtown blocks. Lots of great art and interesting architecture. Plenty of food and drink options. Don't forget all the history underground, you may want to sign up for a guided tour.
  • The oldest part of the city. Great shops and easy walking.
