  • Don't be put off by its location; the garden is a 15 minute drive from downtown and worth the effort. We went in the fall and the foliage was spectacular. You stroll through a rabbits warren of trails...  more »
  • This is a fantastic peaceful garden. Quite the surprise. Expected it to be not much of anything and turned out to be a fantastic find. Lots of walking trails and they are making it bigger. Nice part i...  more »
  • This park is an amazing place to go to. It is a little out of the way for tourists, but if you have access to a car, or aren't afraid of a 45 minute bus ride on the 106, then you have access to one of...  more »

  • Very impressive! Numerous very mature Japanese maples, hosta, various conifers, etc. It is a must see and is great if you want to pack a picnic basket, take photos, or take a nice walk. The history of how the garden came to be is also a very interesting story as it was basically designed and constructed by one man. Admission is free, however, donations can be submitted at the entry.
  • My favorite place for a stroll--it baffles me how this is still such a hidden gem. All the best things about a Japanese garden, but with local PNW flair. Usually plenty of parking, Kubota is great during all four seasons. Cherry blossoms in the spring, hydrangeas and rhododendron in the summer, gorgeous maples in all colors in the fall, and an assortment of evergreens in the winter, plus koi ponds and waterfalls, Japanese stone lanterns, and much more!
  • Absolutely beautiful! Came here for a wedding, was not disappointed. My friends and I noticed that there was no trash/litter in the park. How do they do it? How nice...
  • It's beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Full of beautiful trails, ponds, koi fish, turtles, streams. Me and my kids spend hours here! I I will definitely be making a trip to this Garden more than twice a year! I love it!
  • Great place to see the leaves turn different colors of you're from LA! Not many flowers so if you're expecting more of a botanical experience there might be better spots. But very fun to explore :)
