  • Of all the places to get a national parks passport stamp this one is definitely in my top 3 hidden locations. It isn't really that hidden, but if you're not looking for it then you probably won't stumble across it. That being said, it is a great facility with a lot of information and a great exhibit. Lots of hands on activities for kids and good break from the hectic crowd a mile away at Pike Place Market. Don't forget to sign the visitor log when you're there!
  • Honestly, can not recommend this place enough. Light filled historic building makes it a perfect stop on a rainy day. The exhibits are informative and interactive. Amazing information about the sheer number of folks that made their way to the Klondike and the sheer number of folks that made their fortune by NOT going with the gold seekers. Great for kids and history buffs. If you're kiddo is under 12 ask them about their Junior Ranger program.
  • Very informative, and it's free! Spend ~ an hour (watch the educational video as well) to learn about gold rush in Seattle and how some of seattle's businesses got started (e.g. Nordstrom)!
  • The countries smallest National Park is a fascinating discovery in historic Pioneer Square. Wether your new to the city or a Seattle native it's a must see.
  • Small but informative. Staff is very helpful
