  • Just imagine. Drop everything and move thousands of miles in hopes for a better future. Of the 100,000 who took the chance only 1 in 5 ever found gold. Only 300 ever found more than $15,000 at the time. Amazing statistics and coming here, you can learn more about their individual stories. The exhibits are spread over 2 floors and include panels, hands on, and multi media. You can easily spend 1-2 hours here.
  • What an ace museum and it's free! It gives a fascinating insight into the gold rush and the history of Seattle with some really interesting exhibits. They also show a 25 minute movie about the gold rush which we didn't get to see. The staff are super friendly too - this place is well worth a visit.
  • Its free free free. So much history and great story behind the museum. Beautifully exhibited, don't miss to watch the movie at the theater. Also small store that has so many gifts, books and even some gold ( I'm serious ). Friendly staff.. you gotta visit this place.
  • It's a great museum that really explains the life and struggles of the people headed to the Yukon. It's crazy how few people actually made any money. The museum has a lot to see, so give yourself at least a couple of hours. I really liked looking at the pictures of old Seattle. The gold rush isn't what you think of when visiting Seattle, but this museum should be as much of a tourist destination as the Pike's Place or the Space Needle.
  • FREE! Great, well done little museum documenting the Klondike gold rush and other aspects of the beginning of the US National Park System. Complete with some interactive stations and descriptive exhibits and pictures. They show a short film every 30 minutes I believe, however I did not get to see it.
