Kerry Park, Seattle

4.7
#1 of 62 in Parks in Seattle
Head to Kerry Park for views of Seattle, complete with the Space Needle in the foreground of the city skyline. Watch ferries traversing Elliott Bay, see the twinkling city lights, or, on a clear day, spot Mt. Rainier in the distance. This panoramic scene is worth the uphill walk to the park, but the park itself is small and, therefore, typically only used as a place for taking postcard perfect photos and simply enjoying the view. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Seattle holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Kerry Park and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A great site to see the Space Needle and cruise ships from afar but only worth it if you happen to be in the area. The space is really small and I would only spend around 10, maybe 15 minutes here. I ...  more »

  • I'm a photographer so one of the first stops we made on a recent trip to Seattle is to this park. Great views of the city and on a clear day Mt. Rainier. This was an amazing start to our vacation.  more »

  • It's in the middle of a neighborhood. It's very peaceful to sit and enjoy and amazing view of downtown. If it's clear skies, you can see Mount Rainier in the backdrop which makes for awesome shots. Depending on the time of day and year, this place can get crowded but when I visited on a Thursday summer evening (close to sunset), it was not as busy which was nice.
  • Stunning views of the Seattle skyline, and Mount Rainier, rivaling those from the Columbia Tower Sky Lounge. The best part may be that it's free to visit and close to many great places to eat in Queen Anne. Parking isn't usually too hard to find compared to anywhere else in the city. Highly recommend if you have family coming that want to see the city to bring them here.
  • A must see in Seattle. It is definitely a tourist spot as well. So plan accordingly... it can be crowded on good weather days. Be aware the morning maritime later can hang around until early afternoon. Parking can be tough. Amazing views though!!
  • This is such a beautiful park and such a nice way to see the city of Seattle. The neighborhood is so quiet with beautiful homes overlooking the city. Very calming and relaxing place to take it all in and have a peaceful moment. And a free water fountain as a bonus on a hit day.
  • Great view at the top of the hill - one of the best and most known photo spots. At the bottom of the hill is a little park with a climbing wall, some odd playground equipment and a racing slide. Take the kids, get some pics, then wear them out running up and down the stairs and experimenting with the equipment. It is a nice area. Tight driving through the streets in the surrounding because cars are parked on both sides of the street and it is hilly. Parking can be difficult to find, especially during busy times. Drive around and enjoy the views and housing. It really is a beautiful area and completely FREE!
