Kerry Park, Seattle

(4.7/5 based on 2,400+ reviews on the web)
Head to Kerry Park for views of Seattle, complete with the Space Needle in the foreground of the city skyline. Watch ferries traversing Elliott Bay, see the twinkling city lights, or, on a clear day, spot Mt. Rainier in the distance. This panoramic scene is worth the uphill walk to the park, but the park itself is small and, therefore, typically only used as a place for taking postcard perfect photos and simply enjoying the view. Use our Seattle vacation generator to add Kerry Park and other attractions to your Seattle vacation plans.

  • This is a neighborhood gem. It's a great place to see both downtown and Puget Sound from one of Seattle's old neighborhoods. Easy to take a bus to from downtown with a couple block walk from the bus s...  more »
  • Very popular year round. One of the best views of downtown Seattle. Often fairly crowded with tourists, but a nice place to get a pic of the city.  more »
  • A small park. But nevertheless good a short stop and a quick picture of the Seattle skyline if you are from out of town.  more »

  • A friend recommended we see the city here over Space Needle. Glad we did! On a clear day you see it all (including the needle)- have a seat on the stone wall and just take it all in. Grateful to the Mr & Mrs Kerry for donating such a thoughtful place.
  • Not even going to post a pic, this is your stereotypical view of Seattle, every news caster, every National Coverage, Everything on TV/News that you see that shows the Seattle skyline with the Space Needle, It's done from this point. Read the review, they all say the same thing. This is an Iconic Seattle Landmark Viepoint. Definitely stop by if you are visiting.
  • Oh my goodness this place is a hidden gem. Sure it's a hike up but the views are AMAZING. Don't even bother with the space needle because you can see it from Kerry park! Not too crowded and the area itself is relaxed and low key. I love it. Stayed here to enjoy the view for at least an hour, mostly though because it took me 15min just to get up the stairs.
  • Some of the best views you can get of the water and downtown Seattle. This place gets really busy in the day and evening time when people come to appreciate the view. Parking is hard but not impossible. Its easily accessible by bus too. Highly recommend visiting here
  • It has a very cool view, but this park is tiny. Like get out of your car and look, tiny. That's it, it's all about the view. Good for pictures, quiet moments, couples, but not someplace you'd want to hang out. Street parking.
