Golden Gardens Park, Seattle
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Escape the city at Golden Gardens Park, where you can stroll, sunbathe, fish, and frolic with canine friends. Follow the hiking trails through forest and restored native wetlands, or picnic in the grassy areas. Although the water usually remains too cold for swimming (even in summer), many choose to kayak or canoe here. Keep your eye out for the wealth of wildlife, including sea lions, beavers, and eagles. If you bring a dog, head to the off-leash area in the northern section of the park. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches or in children's play areas.
