  • This is visually quite impressive to see. All the boats of different types are quite a stunning view.  more »
  • So much of the areas history is woven into its waterfront. Maybe no place more so than this. To stroll the docks and see first hand what it take to earn a living from the sea, well I'd say... impressi...  more »
  • A nice area to walk around, with a truly special memorial to the lost fishermen of Seattle. The memorial is both a remarkable statue, complimented by pavers inscripted with the names of the lost. May ...  more »

  • The fish is fresh and they are actually fish mongers who something about fish. They will fillet the whole fish and remove pin bones if asked. Good oyster selection and live mussels and clams. Prices are in line with what you expect to pay for quality fish. Mostly not more than supermarket prices and a better product for sure. They will wrap your purchase with ice to keep it fresh too.
  • Love the service and clams and oysters were great! Good price. Great customer service. I went there twice.
  • If you want to see an open air market with lots of fish piled high in ice go to Pike Place Market. If you want buy fresh fish and be able to park at the front door, go to Fisherman's Terminal. I just had the absolute best swordfish ever! Seasoned with their Old Bay seasoning. Get a tin of that, too. The photo is a 30 second walk away if you stop to tie your shoe.
  • It's my go-to place for fish and chips, plenty of parking, right on the water and the morage is full of fishing boats. There is an area that has in-laid bricks with Maritime names on them and a bit of history Fresh Sea Food market, a few little shops and It's convenient to the Ballard Locks, an amazing experience, Day Break Star at Fort Lawton awesome summer pow wow and fascinating history. Definatly worth a days adventure to explore Ballard
  • Well this place has changed. Highliner used to be a place for fisherman to get some good grub and strong coffee, now it's so yupped up and expensive I wondered if should take off my shoes. I'm not surprised to see no one in there. The girls took their time getting my coffee to go, hoping the other would help me causing an awkward moment for everyone.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
