  • Only rating based on happy hour, will go back to update for whole restaurant. After being talked up, went to check out the happy hour. Found the menu to be different from that described of the other location, but the pretzel was on both menus, and that was the main objective for my drinking partner. Being underwhelmed we opted to only order the pretzel and drinks so we could eat elsewhere. The pretzel that came out was similar/pretty sure it was a frozen pretzel that you would get from a concession stand, salt included with a conservatively sprinkled rosemary. The beer cheese was better than concession stand nacho cheese. The saving grace was the delicious mustard which I packaged to go and used to make sandwiches. The food looks good though, and they have beer? That's nice.
  • The specialty flight was great. They weren't all hits but the description on them characterized each beer with a hidden passion lost to many breweries out there. Also appreciated the love they put into describing not just hops but the malts used in their beers.
  • The gnocchi with prosciutto was delectable! Have it with fresh ground pepper to balance the salt of the fresh tender prosciutto. Complement with Chroma-Key oak-aged imperial IPA and then you'll consider a dessert afterwards? Nice work and fast service!
  • I had a good experience at Elysian. They had a nice happy hour food and beer deals. The chicken Kale salad and Pulled pork we ordered both were tasty. The beer was decent. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed. Our server provided us with good service and even some tips about the area.
  • This used to be the best option for beer in Cap Hill, but now that there are other options. Unless you are in the mood for food, you can skip it in favor of Optimism or Outer Planet. Elysian still makes great beer, so it might be worth it to come in grab one of their great IPAs
