  • Fresh. Fresh freshh seafood...everything looks great...but this isn't the famous spot...you would have to go to where the pig is to see them throw the fish to each other when you order your stuff
  • I buy from City Fish pretty much every time I'm at the market, and this past weekend I relied on them to provide all the fish for a 60-person crab boil. We ordered over 30lbs of seafood, and it was universally amazing. King and Dungeness crab and shrimp went in the boil pot, and we also deep fried 10lbs of snapper bites. There was only two Dungeness legs and a handful of shrimp left by the end of the party, and the King crab legs had pieces of meat bigger than most nice steaks (if we'd had another ten lbs of King it probably would have disappeared too). The staff is professional and courteous, and the prices were much better than another place a friend recommended outside the market, despite everybody claiming Pike Place is too expensive. My girlfriend was able to pick everything up Friday morning as the market was opening so there was no hassle with traffic, and everything was beautifully packed in ice and styrofoam (no leaks or spoiling!) We will always source from them from now on, and when you do, don't forget to pick up at least one kind of smoked fish to snack on while you're there. The salmon and black cod are particularly tasty. So long for now, and thanks for all the fish.
  • We ordered King Crab Legs and Prawns for our Christmas dinner up in the Smokies. The order was to arrive here at our home the day before we left. Unfortunately, the transportation provider did not get it here in time - no fault of City Fish. We called and the owner was so apologetic. He immediately had another order sent directly to our cabin. It's all about customer service and City Fish really stepped up to the plate. The crab legs and prawns were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend them for delicious seafood and we are loyal customers!!!
  • Nicest fresh Copper River Sockeye in the market.
  • Will not order here again. We ordered seafood for a Christmas week delivery. Whole fish, squid, and oysters. For the fish, each filleted and half of each vacuum sealed, the rest left whole. One King Salmon, and one Cod. Everything arrived on time and in good condition (still cold). The quality of the fish was good and excellent. The knife work was good and the vacuum packing was good. So you might ask, why wouldn’t I buy here again? We purchased two whole fish and got fillets. No heads, no body bones. Who doesn’t use that for stock and nibblets? This is for both the cod and the salmon. Now, the salmon – the belly was cut off, this is the best part of the salmon for smoking and is amazingly rich. That is why they smoke them and sell them at a premium as salmon candy. So, we paid for two full fish and didn’t get two full fish – the head and bones, some people wouldn’t want them but as fish mongers they should ask – YOU ALWAYS ASK – because that is what makes the best stocks. The belly – well, I am quite sure they smoked that up and offered it for sale. We ordered elsewhere for New Years and were very happy so – City Fish is off our list.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
