  • Stopped by here on a cool Sunday. There was a good crowd but not packed. Walked across the walkway to the beach. The park has nice trails and is very wooded as well as having the nice beach. On a nice...  more »
  • This is one of my favorite parks in the city. The park is huge. There are tons of trails, including one that runs down along a creek. There are signs about the salmon runs, but I haven't actually seen...  more »

  • This park is so beautiful and is quintessential Seattle, with beautiful views and a fun beach to visit. The park and playground are fun for kids of all ages, and if you're lucky, the bubble man will be there blowing bubbles and entertaining all the kids. It's great fun to go searching for salmon returning upstream in the right season. The trails are great. My only misgivings are: 1) parking can be a real bear here; and 2) the beach if off-limits to dogs, which is totally fine, but then a lot of people break the rule, which seems unfair. It'd be nice to see the rule enforced better if it's going to be in place.
  • We love this park and how it has something for everyone. The kids have ample space to play in the grass or on the swings, etc at the large park above the beach by the main parking lot. Easy access to the beach on the covered bridge over the train tracks. Beach has a mix of sand and rocks. Very large and beautiful with magnificent views of the Olympics, especially at sunset! The trails are great with small inclines that really turn out to be a good workout. Over 3 miles for a basic loop but tons of options. Easy to find your way around and hard to get lost.
  • Great beach for exploring. Tons of trails. We participated in the Hour Ocean day and were shocked at how clean it was. We barely had to pick anything up! Compared to other beaches we were expecting waste everywhere especially near the train tracks. It's really well kept and beautiful.
  • Beautiful location with a wide variety of geography. It has a huge beach with plenty of exploration possibilities for the kids, forest trails, and a picnic and play area with a gorgeous view. Decent amount of parking though in the summer it never seems to be enough.
  • Park with lots of space and multiple features (trails, beach, open grassy areas) that's great for everyone. Wonderful for families with small children. Picnic tables, benches are interspersed throughout the park. Toilet facilities available. Ample parking (different areas) though it can get crowded on sunny days.
