  • I loved this! History can be boring of not delivered to the audience (students) properly and this was anything but boring. I had a great time, my teenage daughter had a great time and we learned a lot...  more »

  • Great time on this tour, our host Jim was funny and had jokes lined up for every instance. Great to know a little bit of the history of Seattle, and was truly interesting to go downstairs below the streets and see how the old city operated. They really do try and push things on you at the end, pictures and souvenirs and such, so just make sure you budget appropriately for those items. Wish we could've gone under more than a couple buildings, but for an hour and a half, was a great way to spend an afternoon.
  • This is stand-up comedy combined with a historic tour. The tour guides are so funny and even though they do this all day you can see they enjoy it and do their best for every group, as if doing it for the first time. The tour leads you through tunnels under the streets and buildings directly around their office and gives you interesting information on the history of Seattle. Seattle has been rebuilt a couple of times and the street level has been raised during these rebuilds. Lower sections of old buildings are now below street level and can be seen and accessed through tunnels under the current sidewalks. You never really visit a city properly without getting to know it's history. This is a must-see.
  • Great tour! Interesting facts and history about Seattle. There's a bit of walking and you have to be able to go up and down some staircases. Some of the spaces are cramped but nothing egregiously so. Eric was our tour guide and he had great delivery on some maybe less than great jokes but I thought he was funny all the same. My kids enjoyed it - there were a few adult jokes but they went over their heads.
  • I live north of Seattle and have been thinking about taking this tour for a number of years now. When family from out of state came to visit we decided it was a good time to check it out. We varied in are from 7 to 46 and all found it to be interesting and very entertaining, while remaining family friendly. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all.
  • Was So amazing. I seriously believe every tourist and local should go on this tour. The guide was knowledgeable and loud enough. Answered every question I had. I truly enjoyed it. A+ on my list.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
