  • The tour itself is really interesting and cool, our guide was a great story teller and we had fun. However, there were two things that bothered me; 1- they allow wayyy too many people into each tour. It was super crowded and hard to enjoy the different spaces we visited. So definitely try to avoid going on the weekends. 2- our guide was running from one location to the other without giving us time to look around, take it in and take pictures. We stopped, she told the story and kept going. That could also have been because of the massive group we were in (AT LEAST 30 people). We were also asked to not stay behind so we felt rushed. All and all, I think it was worth it, and if you manage to get in during the week it might be better.
  • This tour was a lot of fun. There's a lot of neat information about the early history of Seattle, and the tour guides have good senses of humor. Is it a little corny? Yeah, but no one there is trying to pretend that it's not. Two warnings: one, you will be spending time outside; don't assume this is a completely "indoor" activity. Two, there's not a huge amount of actual stuff to see underground, so you will need to use your imagination some. The guides do a good job of helping you with that.
  • Cool tour. Cheap and quick. The girl that did ours was obviously a striving comic. She was funny, respectful and courteous. She was very knew a ton of history of Seattle and was quick to answer any questions. Tip: bring a few bucks to tip these guys. They try hard for laughs and to keep it light. They are hustling just as hard as waiters and bartenders!
  • Very cool and informative tour of the little known part of Seattle's history to tourists. The fact that the city today was built atop the original city, which now is underground. Sky high prices, but was worth it for the hour and a half historic tour through the underground Pioneer Square district of Seattle and the hilarious tour guide we had. Pretty big group sizes. Overall would definitely recommend to any visitor to Seattle.
  • Great tour. Funny and entertaining. I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't have impeccable English though. We received a short, 1 page brochure in German, but it left a lot to be desired. Of course, what do you expect in Seattle? It's not really meant to cater to an international crowd, but it's just a heads up! Other than that, it was fantastic.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
