  • This is a cool tour! If you have some time to spare, you should definitely try to fit in this quick one hour tour. I learned quite a bit about Seattle's underground and history. Our tour guide, Patty, was amazing too! She's so warm and welcoming. You can tell she really enjoys telling you about the city.
  • We absolutely loved this tour. (We did the late night adult tour) We are only here for a few days for my birthday and wanted to do a couple things that would really make the trip enjoyable. This was certainly it. Chuck was a wealth of knowledge. I learned more than I ever thought I could know about Seattle. He knew the answers to every question and quite literally was a teacher. He walked us to several areas in the city and pointed out areas that were mentioned on the tour historically, to present day. It was remarkable to see how the city has grown and have so many examples to go alongside such an interesting story. Chuck was so awesome and we would come back for another tour! (Be sure to tip your tour guide!)
  • I have never been one to take the "tourist scenic route" when visiting a new city, but this is one tour that I am so glad I took!! My husband and I had an amazing time learning about the history of Seattle and Jim narrates it beautifully! He made learning history so much fun and left us wanting to learn more about "Underground Seattle" Can't wait to go back and learn more. I highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to that gorgeous city!!
  • Very cool walking tour my husband booked for our trip to Seattle. There was a lot of good history, fun facts and information on the changing landscape of Seattle. The little museum where the tour starts is very cool too.
  • I will start by saying I have not done any of the other Seattle underground tours so this is not comparing them. I was disappointed for a few reasons. First it was kind of boring with just 3 stops under the sidewalk. I did a similar tour in Cincinnati and it was a lot better. The tour guide got on a kick right in the beginning about how bad the native Americans were treated which I agree with completely but it bordered on a lecture which I did not need. Everyone was nice and I donโ€™t know if they could have made it any better. There was a lot of history on Seattle which was good but not a lot of history on the actual locations.

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
