  • Oh yeah, this store is truly fantastic and a historic landmark! I probably enjoy it only slightly more than my kids. When I make it up in that part of town, I always stop in just to walk around and see what's new ... or old as the case may be. Very entertaining place to go for date night/day, and fun to embarrass the kids trying on the goofy glasses, hats, masks, or throwing rubber chickens. I can't make it out without some cool "new" toy.
  • It's a weird store with weird things that thrives on selling weird stuff to weird people. Need to prank a coworker? They sell enough googly eyes to cover every picture they have and add them to most of their office furniture. Need a catapult for tiny lego items? They have that. Want vintage pan am first class cups and saucers? Guess what. They have that too. Want normal? We didn't want to talk to you either.
  • So much randomness here. If you are looking for an unusual/unique gift this is the place! Always something new to see, great place to waste time if waiting for a table at Bizzaro!
  • I honestly love Archie McPhee- it's one of my favorite stores. They have just about every novelty item you could think of, and then some. The staff are shy sometimes and don't usually greet you when you enter the store, but once you're ready to check out they're more than happy to help you. Prices can be a bit high as well, but they're definitely worth it. I highly recommend the blind bags, and even though it sounds gross, I also recommend the Strawberry-Flavored Gummy Bacon.
  • Was very goofy kindof fun but had a poor amount of selection

Where to stay in Seattle

Famous for its architecture, Seattle's downtown area features a range of lodging options, including high-end hotels offering expensive rooms with views over Elliott Bay. Remember that despite their prices, many hotels in this waterfront district provide rather small rooms. If you need more space but don't want to break the bank, head out of downtown to some of the city's outlying neighborhoods. Seattle's diverse suburbs offer affordable bed and breakfasts, providing you with all the comforts of home and allowing you to see what local life is really like.
