Alki Beach, Seattle

(700+ reviews on the web)
Beach
View the city skyline, glimpse orcas and sea lions offshore, and play beach volleyball at Alki Beach. Rent kayaks and paddleboards, ride a bike down the paved path, and roller-skate while you take in the views of the nearby mountain ranges. Eat and drink at one of the many nearby restaurants, or pack food to eat at the picnic tables. Street parking is available nearby, but it fills quickly--consider taking the ferry from the city and then the free shuttle bus to the beach instead. Our Seattle holiday planner makes visiting Alki Beach and other Seattle attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Visitors to Seattle looking for a different experience - and an awesome view of the Seattle skyline - should consider taking a water taxi ride across Elliott Bay to the north shoreline of West Seattle...  more »
  • I have mixed feelings about this place. The plus....beautiful views across the water, fire pits for smores, food close by. The negatives.... very busy road right behind the beach, not exactly peaceful...  more »
  • We often visit this area as our daughter lives near by. A variety or restaurants and bars make for a pleasant visit with lots of choices. A great place to take a romantic walk or simply walk the dog.  more »
