We stopped on chance and it was kind of cool. My father in law was very knowledgeable about much of the logging industry that this place features. The building itself is impressive. Not a bad stop on ...  more »

To be honest, the equipment and machinery surrounding Camp 18 is worth the time, but as far as the restaurants the service was frankly not that good. 20 minutes to place my order and another 30 minute...  more »

The atmosphere is great. The decor and history is fantastic. Their serving sizes are humongous and the service is great. PS- get a loaf of their home made cinnamon bread; it's the bomb! Also, if you get a seat next to the windows at the back, you can birdwatch!

Two stars. I was all hyped up based on the reviews for this restaurant, so I drove out the thirty minutes from Cannon Beach to experience it for myself. The host that greeted me was friendly, to be sure, asking me whether I wanted to sit by the fire or by a window. In the end, I chose a table close to the window and relatively close to the fire. Then I started taking pictures, the restaurant is absolutely BEAUTIFUL inside. One of the servers acted surprised, if not slightly miffed, that I was taking pictures of the place. Really? This is a tourist area, and no doubt much of their business comes from tourists. Note to restaurant: tourists take pictures, get used to it! My server was somewhere between friendly and rude. Just blase. While the restaurant was not at all busy, I felt that my server rushed me with my order. On to the food...it was good. But certainly not as good as it was hyped up to be. Just another average breakfast diner. Two stars. If you're passing through and need something to eat, sure, stop, the food is adequate and the building is beautiful. But not worth the drive out from the coast, in my opinion!

So pleasantly surprised, we've driven by this place a hundred times on our way to the coast and have always wanted to see what it was all about. The food was good, the ambiance and interior is pretty amazing, it was built using all local wood and it has some of the most amazing whole tree posts and beams I've ever seen. Our waitress was very nice and our whole family had a great time while sitting next to the stream-side windows. I wish we would have spent a little more time and sat by the fireplace in the cushy couches. If we plan accordingly I would definitely stop back in again.

This is a beautiful place to visit. The log cabin is beautiful with a warm fireplace to set next to. The meal was very good, with good service, large portions and and great strawberry rubarb cobbler. Camp 18 is l definitely on the cozy side with a full bar. After you have eaten, it's nice to walk around and view the creek and logging equipment to work off some of those calories.

Amazing place inside and out. We came close to closing, the owner welcomed us. We found out that her husband built that beautiful place. Everyone was very kind, not rushed even after closed. And nice enough to take photos for us. Amazing experience all around.
