Scenic Beach State Park Reviews
While staying in Seabeck, I chose to explore the area on foot. I walked to the Scenic Beach State Park and was in for a surprise. The name should have clued me in! Once I was through the camp area and... more »
This is perhaps my favorite state park on the Kitsap Peninsula. Great place for a picnic (bring your own or use the park's grills). Beautiful scenic views of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountain foothi... more »
It's a rocky beach along an inlet of the sound, good for skipping stones or wading in with float toys. Picnic tables are above the beach near the playground, restrooms, and parking. There is plenty of... more »
The two stars are definitely not for the scenery or the park itself. But just for the fact that it's not meant for handicapped people. Especially if you're using a wheelchair. They have handicap parking. I couldn't go down to the water because it's too Steep and full of rocks the actual dirt roads that people use on here is really not safe for a wheelchair. Which is sad because I would have loved to have seen the water. So my family went down to the water. And I stayed on top by the benches and waiting for them by myself. And those of you that aren't handicap. Would love in here. It's beautiful scenery. And has a BBQ area with BBQs there there's plenty of hiking spots you can go jogging. And plenty of view spots. There was even a couple there with the photographer taking some wedding pictures. That's how beautiful it is here
First time camping for our family. The campsites were really nice and the whole place was peaceful, well maintained, and family friendly. Beach was fun at high and low tide. Also great hiking trails that were jogging stroller friendly which let us adults get some exercise and walk at a fast pace but gave the kids a break.
The view is outstanding! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the quaint little house! I loved it! I sat on the front porch and rocked and relaxed. You can get down to the waters edge in a couple different places which I always want to do!
This is a great place to camp or day trip. It's clean and well-maintained. There are lots of picnic areas. I saw a volleyball net and a horseshoe pit in the day-use area, which is pretty cool. There are trails to hike. I used a bike trailer that converts into a stroller for my kids and I was just fine. Regular strollers would not be a good idea though. Most of the campsites have some degree of privacy, although a few are kind of close together. Even though this park is great, I'm only giving 3 stars because it seems as though it is permanently booked up to reserve or find an open campsite. They should have A LOT more first-come first-serve sites instead of all the dann reservable ones.
We had a beautiful wedding here. The Emel house is gorgeous and perfect for the wedding party. There are camp sites, easy beach access and it is surrounded by the mountains. Absolutely lovely.
