  • My companion and I were on the Behind the scenes tour, a 3 hour highly educational and fun experience thanks to the knowledgeable and very nice docent Paula. As my companion is an architect and a big ...  read more »
  • Fascinating to learn that Taliesin West actually started out with the occupants staying in tents until the buildings could be designed and built. Took the extended tour and it was very informative. If...  read more »

  • If you truly love architecture or Frank Lloyd Wright, the 90 minute tour is for you. Will not be appealing to children. If you're uncertain, I'd save the 34 dollars (per person) for a different experience. The landscaping and mountain views are beautiful, but the hefty price made me second guess my decision. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly.
  • Take the guided tour. Very informative. Phoenix was a very popular mid century architecture hub, and this is one of the most influential architects. Taliesin is one of his best to tour in my opinion. I have toured falling water, and hands down that is my fav. Still worthy of a visit. 5 stars.
  • My visit last week wasn't my first. The house has been completely restored and is very beautiful. The gardens are exquisite. I agree that the entrance price is a little high but realize that many others wouldn't feel the same way. We drove from Phoenix to visit and would go again.
  • A bit overpriced, but a very interesting experience. A rude employee who made a mistake with our tickets didn't ruin the experience. If you're an art and architecture fan, it's well worth the trip.
  • Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Tour lasted 1.5 hours and went through nearly the entire compound. My wife, who knows much more about Frank Lloyd Wright's work loved it. You get to walk into different rooms and sit anywhere you please while the tour guide explains where we are. Questions are encouraged and there was some complimentary water. It can get hot during the tour, which at times is both inside and out. They have umbrellas you can borrow to keep the sun away.
