  • Beautiful tennis facilities, kind staff, private atmosphere. Any time spent at The Phoenician is guaranteed to please and relax. The evening ambiance is characterized by mild temperatures and light breezes. I chose to sit outside, with nothing to do. I could not focus, for the life of me, on the book I had brought for myself to read. The sunset views from the golf and tennis facilities totally captivated my imagination. You can feel the history here. Those short hours spent in the evening breeze took me back to a most unique frame of mind. One can almost taste the nuclear ambitions of a 1950's America at The Phoenician, where even today, at the crossroads of opulence & comfort, the tastefully landscaped grounds offer any visitor an enriching experience.
  • Although the resort has potential it fell short of satisfactory. I had booked a weekend trip with some girlfriends with intentions to relax beside the beautiful Phoenician pool as pictured on their website and have a spa day. When we arrived at the resort we found out that the pool was closed for renovations but a tennis court had been used to turn into a pool area and now this is the only pool they have to offer during renovations. I was extremely disappointed that I was not notified before hand. Also the main Spa had been closed for renovations. However another spa had been opened for renovations. Sorry but after seeing the tennis court turned into a pool for renovations I didn't want to see what the spa looked like. The staff was super apologetic but unfortunately was a too little too late. Although we still made the best of it and had a great time in Phoenix, we were still very disappointed in our hotel stay. Also there were several pictures of different restaurants the hotel was supposed to have that are also close to renovations. I definitely think this will be a great hotel to stay at but would wait till after renovation come fall 2017
  • The best the best! They are so amazing and on point with everything! We have always enjoyed our stay and especially the J&G steakhouse!!! Amazing! We go every year and they never disappoint!
  • We were told where to park and found it with ease. We were told to "take the elevators to the pool" but not what floor. The lobby was easy to find and we were properly directed to the pool with ease, but upon reaching the pool; we were informed we could not enter without a wristband and had to go back up to the lobby to get one at the front desk. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue but I had 3 kids in tow by myself. We got our wristbands and had zero issues from there. My daughter participated in their weekend mermaid class. She loved it. The staff were very courteous and friendly to me and my other 2 children who were waiting pool side. The pool area looked amazing with a splash pad, hot tub and several different pools to swim in. I have never stayed at the Phoenician but look forward to a 'staycation' to fully experience the entire facility!
  • To be honest, our stay warrants 3 stars or less, but I'm giving four, because I know it's not typical, and our issues are only temporary problems that don't deserve a permanent bad review. Still pretty annoyed, though... See, when we booked our stay, we were not made aware that a large portion of the amenities were under renovation. We packed our swimsuits expecting the beautiful pool and splash pad (for our daughter) featured in pictures of the resort to be available. We didn't find out until check-in that all the amenities we planned on were under renovation. Not only this, but the main entrance to the hotel was also under renovation, so we had to use a side entrance that forced us to walk... and walk... and walk... to our room that was almost literally the furthest away we could have been. Arriving late at night with a sleeping infant and 2-year-old who both needed to be carried back to our room was a huge pain because of this. Our walk would have been almost cut in half had the main entrance to the hotel been available. We were not offered anything to make up for the inconvenience, and the only reason we continued our stay was because my husband's company had already paid for our room, and we had plenty we wanted to do off the hotel property anyway. All that said, the hotel and resort are lovely and well kept, the rooms are very nice, and the beds were very comfortable. Had the resort not been under renovation, I'm sure it would have been a perfect stay.
