Been hearing about this place for years. We were in the area and had to go see it. Just not really impressed. Basically an over priced thrift store. Store was clean and the staff was friendly however ... more »
Loved the UCB! It was basically a very good giant thrift shop. Huge, well organized sections of clothes, shoes, and accessories. There's even a massive jewelry case (ask for Amanda B or Lisa M, they r... more »
It's very well organized. The place is big. It does NOT smell old or musty. The selection is huge. The departments are well maintained. But, the prices are much higher than expected. I only looked at ... more »
Overwhelming, but some good deals to be had. We arrived for the Winter Ski Sale, so all of the ski wear was on the floor but not yet sorted by size. The clothes and accessories seemed reasonably priced. The laptops they had were the best deal. This is great destination for a road trip to explore all of the things available, but like a thrift store, I wouldn't go in looking for something specific.
This was such a wonderful CLEAN place to shop! Everything was so nice! You couldn't tell anything was second hand. I got a GREAT deal on a camera lens and other miscellaneous items. I drove an hour just as a fun little road trip to check it out and it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

I loved it! The drive was relaxing coming by way of Atlanta, GA. Great road trip for you and your special someone...lol. We went there as an adventure trip just to see what the hype was all about. We found a wonderful Cannon Ti3 camera for the low $300's and a fabulous London Fog Garment Travel bag on wheels for less than $150. The jewelry, diamond rings and such was a treat as well. Ohhh don't let me forget, the funky cow girl boots for $45.00. Heck my other cow girl boots cost over $300.00 elsewhere. Planning on another trip in the next few weeks...holiday grab bags...hahahaha. Live a little and explore a lot. Peace.
I grew up near this store and it's basically a local mall. Everything is bought from lost luggage from airports and sorted through the store in a quirky fashion. You could spend hours looking through the items in this store. It's not a 5 star though because some of these items can be close to retail without even knowing how long the item was used.
This store is one of a kind. You can get everything from household items to snowboards. I even saw guns the other day, which is new. I guess you can expect that sort of thing in Alabama. There are Rolexes and Coach bags, hundreds of scarves and hats. Go here, take some money, buy some things. It's alot of fun!
