Bowcraft Amusement Park or Bowcraft Playland is a small amusement park located on U.S. Route 22 West in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Catering to families, it contains rides appropriate for both children and adults. Bowcraft Amusement Park is open weekends from May through October and daily June through Labor Day.Bowcraft Amusement Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Scotch Plains Edition.
The park's history dates back to 1946, when an archery and skiing enthusiast named Ted Miller opened a small archery and ski equipment store, complete with a small ski slope on-site, and named it Bowcraft Park.
In the 1980s, the park included a miniature golf course, which was eventually removed to make room for an overall expansion of both the park itself and the parking area.
The park offers a choice between purchasing tickets for individual rides, or an all-inclusive \"Fun-Pass\" which gives the ticket holder unlimited riding.

Bowcraft Amusement Park Reviews
We went here with a large family party, many cousins in all. While the kids enjoyed the many rides, the place is in total disrepair. My brother-in-law, originally from Edison, remarked how the place h... more »
Small, roadside amusement park that's a decent size for small children, but not necessarily a 'destination'-type place. Rides are fine, but not all operating on the summer weeknight we went. We paid a... more »
This place is ok for kids under I would say 8 years old. This place needs a complete re-haul to make it feel welcoming, all of the statues around the park are chipped and in need of a new paint job, t... more »
Great place for young kids! My 7 year old daughter had the best time!! Minimal wait for rides, so you can do a lot. Wristband prices are very affordable. Food was good, reasonably priced. The place was a little run down, but clean, and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend!!
We were here in August 2017. We got information at ticket booth about the most convenient tickets for our family. Do not expect Sixflags because it is not. But for the fun pass allowing unlimited times where the kids can go as much as they like to the attraction it is a great option! Waiting lines are minimal so the fun can be repeated more frequently. Enough fun to spread in 3 - 4 hours with kids up to 12 years. Good fun for this area!
Never will I waste another penny in this establishment . Today I decide to take my 9 year old daughter to the park . I walk up to the ticket booth which happen to have several different signs all over it . I ask can I purchase twenty tickets which happen to be twenty five dollar never once did the lady mention as a courtesy that I could have purchase the unlimited ban for the same price till four o'clock. I proceed to the rides which for the average nine year old are 4 and 5 tickets which meant my daughter was only allow to ride 5 rides which half of the rides wasn't work or the employees put them on for two seconds. When I went to purchase more tickets that when I notice the ban price I ask her why didn't she offer the ban purchase she said oh I wasn't here .. she proceed to get the manger after my request he state "oh we don't do that because that how we make our money " and state you know how much money we could have made off you three people ... he don't have to ever worry about me ever stepping foot in there again .
This place is neat, clean and reasonable. The staff are friendly and polite and they don't take advantage of you at the concession stand. Truly a gem. Would have given 5 stars, but the rides look like they need a paint job, but that's about it. Grandkids loved it.
Great getaway with the kids. A lil rundown, more like a state fair than a theme park. Good range of rides.
