  • Wonderful little zoo. This is a great place to take younger children to be kind of a starter zoo or a practice run before jumping into a bigger zoo like philadelphia zoo. Very friendly staff and very clean park and facilities after a couple hours in the zoo also try a picnic down behind the zoo at Jordan creek. It's a beautiful clean creek with plenty of shallow areas for the little ones to splash and play.
  • Some folks dislike zoos, but you won't find too much to fault here. Many, if not most, animals are rescues who can't be released. It's a small zoo on a lovely preserve. They take good care of their creatures (minus the axolotl and siren who could really benefit from bigger tanks, but maybe they do have a bigger space when closed?). The folks who do the animal encounters are really knowledgeable and take time to answer your questions.
  • I was so saddened to hear about the death of your young giraffe. I know the staff did a lot of preparation and spent a lot of funds to achieve your goals. I can only imagine how you are feeling from this terrble loss. But hold your heads high and move forward. Its a great zoo and it will recover.
  • Was a great experience for my family. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the different types of animals. We will definitely make the trip back.
  • A decent amount of animals for a small zoo. We went during the Christmas lights portion of the year. They had a lot of nice displays set up, including a Frozen display the kids loved. Also, they had snow globes the kids could go in. But bundle up if it's cold. They do sell hot chocolate.
