This is such a nice spot in our area to take the kids for the afternoon. The walking paths are well paved and there is plenty of parking. It is not super expensive and the little ones can walk with no... read more »
This is a small zoo easy to walk around. It is very clean and nicely maintained. The kids had a great time, specially feeding the goats. They should add more animals. Don't miss the bison by the road ... read more »
My two grand daughters and I went to the Lehigh Valley Zoo in August 2016. It's a small zoo compare to the Philadelphia or the National Zoos, but it is well planned and nicely laid out. It takes a cou... read more »
We went in late August (after the kids went back to school, and they didn't have field trips yet). The ride into the Zoo is a long and winding path, very secluded and peaceful. The price of admission was fair. The grounds and the walkways were clean and easy to navigate. The habitats are well taken care of and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The only negative was the food. I see in other comments this is also a negative and I hope the Zoo will find a way to upgrade the selection and preparation. It's costly to feed a family. On our next visit we will pack a picnic lunch. We are eager to see the Giraffe's when they arrive. On the way out we did enjoy the beautiful surroundings and were fortunate enough to see the herds of Bison and Elk. The preserve is truly a Gem right here in the Lehigh Valley.
The Zoo was great had much fun. Animals were cared for cages clean. Employees very nice. The Food was horrible...almost asked for my money back! $4 for a burger you could not eat.(cold n bun stale)..$6 for kids meal the nuggets were dried up from over cooking n a bag of chips! The zoo was very nice but never would go again without bringing own food!!
Wonderful zoo. I was able to see everything. Was just a lil sad when i left at how small there areas are. Where i am from zoos are huge and you cant always find the animals bc they have this thing where they make it a large natural habitat. Other then that it was great. Lots to see ( and you wil) gift shops, food, petting zoo ect.
Only $13 for an adult and has some pretty cool animals. The food is not very good I had a burger and my wife had a very burger. She took one bite and couldn't continue. I ate my burger but it tasted like the microwavable burgers you buy at gas stations. Those two meals cost around $20 together definitely not worth it. So I would just bring your own food and drinks so you don't over pay for bad food. And have a fun time it's very educational and its right next to the beautiful trexler nature preserve.
I like going here because it's close and the drive is so much nicer than going to the city. The kids joy it and while the selection of animals isn't the biggest it's still a lot of fun. It's a good place to go for an hour or two. The price is also very reasonable.
