Have been to this museum twice on two separate visits in the last 30 days, and have really enjoyed both times. Both times I was there it was very quite with almost no visitors...lucky me! Lots of inte... more »
This place is small, allot 1 to 2 hours at most. Lots of things for young kids but not much to do for older kids IMO. If you have a membership to science centers in other states, you can get in for fr... more »
my grandchildren and I go here frequently. They call it the Hands-On Museum because they can touch just about everything they see and they love the experience of learning and building and being able to touch everything. This actual photo with my grandson Michael is one of his favorite things to do to build this and make it stand all by itself they love the Hands-On Museum.
This museum is a great asset to the community. They have a summer program for kids and year round events. My kids love Christmas time and their train exhibit. My teenager did her first summer of volunteering there and the staff was great to her.
There were a lot of really great exhibits in here for kids. Lots of hands-on, climb-on stuff. But it was really expensive for no seemingly good reason and it's not very large. So having seen or participated in every exhibit it was about thirty dollars for my wife and I to take a child here for two hours. And a lot of the exhibits were broken or not functioning properly.
Great experience for people any age. Wonderful staff!
I like this new GE interactive renewal energy exhibit at miSci that opened in June 2017. I learned in this exhibit about wind energy (turbines), and Earth's recent Climate how it effects our weather (e.g., El Niño or La Nina, that causes the recent long cold weather that we have been having that I'm concerned about). I have photos of it.
