  • We have been hearing about this place for quite some time, and we finally visited today for lunch on our way home from Chicago. It's right off the highway. What a great place! We ate and drank in the ...  read more »
  • These guys have the only brewery game in town and they know it. The bar and restaurant both seem to be perpetually busy. I sampled some of the beers, much to the dismay of the unfriendly bartender, an...  read more »
  • A great place to stop by for beer. Outside and inside seating, deli type counter and full service place across the street. It was busy the day we were there and getting busier by the time we left. Has...  read more »
  • Called to see if we could get a reservation as we had 10 people. No such luck. Showed up and were initially told it was a 40 to 60 minute wait. 1 hour and 15 minutes later told an additional 40 to 60 minutes of wait time. Either start taking reservations for bigger groups or find a way to more efficiently seat them. Also find a way to more accurately estimate time. Many restaurants do it. It can't be that hard. Beer is just fine. Don't waste your time and money. To be fair. We did eat at the annex. Their meat and cheeses were fine but it really is hard to mess that up. Again their beer is fine, have been to better breweries.
  • As other have said, the food and beer are great. The music is not. The music may suit the management...but not likely to be a favorite of most customers. Sometimes the staff are awesome. Other times...they are indifferent. The Annex is a great option to get some beer and a light food. Consider ordering an entree to go if the wait at the restaurant is an hour.
  • Wow his place was awesome! Got the sampler, pork, chicken and beef. It was amazing. The beer is great too! Started with the Tractor because I prefer light beer usually, delicious Cream Ale. Also got a flight, all of it was good in its own way. But most of all. Try the cornbread. Even if you don't usually like cornbread. Wish I could take a basket home!
  • Have been there several times since I travel once a month to Detroit along with many other coworkers. I have been there when it was extremely busy and had to wait even just me to be seated at the bar which is fine and got my food quickly and it was fantastic. Although tonight will most likely be the last, I brought my family during a trip after talking about it many times and it was not that busy, we were seated immediately and were there about 1 hour & 45 minutes + which is absolutely ridiculous. Waiter got order and drinks brought an appetizer and never saw him until we went to get him 40 minutes after we finished drinks and app. Never offered anything up and paid way too much for that experience and disappointing food today. Others came in after us and left way before we even got our food. Table next to us was worse they were there earlier and still did not get food when we were leaving, but did get a free round of drinks and brought an appetizer. You need a floor manager paying attention to what is happening and waitstaff who just don't ignore customers stop at the table once in awhile!! 2 hostess at front (not needed) could be helping kitchen or waitstaff when they are struggling, get drinks or whatever or pay attention to which tables have been there for awhile!!!
  • The beer is okay, the higher the group the better the beer. Group A doesn't do it for me. The food is the thing to go here for. The barbecue is better than most of the places in the south.
