  • We headed to SCAD Museum on a rainy Savannah day and found it equal parts interesting and amazing. The cool building is small, so not overwhelming, but contains enough surprises to impress. The Jacob ...  more »
  • The museum wasn't very big, but it was different and enjoyable. The SCAD student docents were knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed the Jacob Lawrence exhibit.  more »
  • This is modern art, so stay away if you're not into that. Beautiful building with lots of interesting art.  more »

  • This inexpensive museum features some fantastic contemporary and near-contemporary artists. Probably due to school not being in session the museum was quite empty of visitors, which was a good thing for me.
  • A modern but beautiful building containing several large gallery spaces, when I visited Dec '17 there were some amazingly curated exhibitions and it wasn't too busy at all.
  • As a student/alumni here, I love this space. Its very comfortable to relax in and the exhibits are amazing. Its an excellent building to visit.
  • Diverse exhibitions and was small enough to manage seeing every piece.
  • As a former student, the SCAD Museum had a lot of build up that I never really saw a follow through for. The building itself is definitely beautiful, still trying to understand the atrium though. I just finding myself wishing for more in terms of the actual exhibits. The museum also puts the students in a bit of a predicament because the hours when the museum is closed, the courtyard is as well. This courtyard is attached to a SCAD 24 hour academic building, that without access to the courtyard, loses a major entrance and exit. I really enjoyed the Black Dress exhibit and wish that the museum could include more enticing collections like that one. I give the museum a higher vote just in the hopes that it will start including more exhibits like this. I would also love if the museum were to have a SCAD student collection on display at all times, because I feel like if people wish to visit a SCAD Museum, we should showcase what we've got right under our noses on our own campus.
