If you like chocolates and candies, River Street Sweets will satisfy. Established in 1978 with the purchase of a giant fudge-making pot for their gift shop, this sweet shop offers an opportunity to see candymaking in action. Watch candymakers crafting pralines, peanut brittle, caramel, glazed pecans, and more. The store's claim to fame is its pralines--buttery, sugary candy mixed with pecans. You'll have the chance to try samples of candied pecans, ice cream, fudge, taffy, and the store's specialty pralines. Products are available for purchase, and all candies come with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction. • River street sweets will always be one of the must visit locations in Savannah. They have some of the most delicious sweets money can buy. I would highly recommend either the pralines or cookies and cream fudge.
  • Always a fantastic place to visit! Their pralines are amazing but their gopher clusters are out of this world! The smell of sugar is heavenly and the free samples are just as wonderful as the tiny train that constantly circles overhead. They even have doggy biscuits partially dipped in white chocolate for the pampered pooch in your life.
  • Wonderful experience here. Friend and I were wondering if "prah-line" or "pray-line" was the right pronunciation. Asked the clerk who was really knowledgeable about the difference (prah-lines are a 'nawlins thing) and helped me pick some. Wound up tipping him even though it wasn't that type of place. Awesome service, great sweets.
