  • My uncle turned me on to this place and I was so excited to visit. To see the bay with such a large scale model is well worth the time.
  • I love this place! BIG, Free, great for kids. Kinda old-school, never crowded. Shows water flows and some orientation features. It's fun to find where you are and have been on the 3-D map.
  • The model itself is apparently the size of 2 football fields and really cool to walk around. Leading up to the model, they have museum-y rooms to walk through and an intro video, so it's actually quit...  more »

  • The staff greeted me at the door and gave me a amazing history lesson! Gave me a pamphlet to help explain what I would looking at inside the exhibit. They even had a theater with a cool show. This place has some important history for the bay area and I strongly encourage people to stop and visit this fun interactive spot : )
  • Signage to the place is great, but once parked you have to figure out to walk to the water side of the warehouse to get in. Once in, the model is intriguing, but bigger than you thought and less detailed. Truly an engineering model. No moving parts, lots of reading and science stuff. If you're expecting a charming model of the Golden Gate Bridge you'll be disappointed. If you like hydrology you'll love it.
  • We came here on our honeymoon as engineering students. It's still a fabulous place to visit.
  • Very great informative educational place! The entrance is a bit hard to find but its very interesting and cool inside.
  • This hydraulic scale model is so fascinating! It even has a tide cycle. There's also a whole bunch of environmental and engineering info to read about the Bay Area and the Delta. Best of all, it's free!
