  • My boyfriend and I, on a beautiful day, decided to stop by and see Opus 40. We had a hard time finding it because of the signs, but then finally found it. As we were driving through the small parking ...  more »
  • Much smaller than expected, you can visit in less than an hour but there is nothing really special to see, so in my opinion not worth the price of admission nor any deviation from their itinerary, even if the road to get there, being immersed in the Woods, is very pretty. Before the start of the visit you can see a video of a few minutes on the history of Opus 40, but information is scarce and poor quality images. Doesn't offer anything particularly interesting even for boys.

  • This has to be one of the coolest finds we have made. When ever I'm on a scouting trip with the boys we look for something cool in the area to go see on the way home as a side trip since we are alread...  more »

  • OVER PRICED AND WASTE OF TIME. Went yesterday on way to Woodstock. Yes it was interesting but thats all. Maybe worth $5 per person. Sorry just being truthful.
  • Worth a visit if you live within an hour's drive or are exploring upstate NY. Not as spacious as Storm King Sculpture Park, but interesting to visit with small children or teens.
  • Aside from the $10 entry fee, this is a true Marvel of an experience. I have never seen such a collection of rocks in my life. A true treasure to witness you could walk around for hours before you see everything they have to offer. You really have to experience this to understand its beauty.
  • Opus 40 is a monument of one man's dedication to a vision. The scenery alone is breathtaking, but aside from appreciating the landscape; I found it difficult not to gape in awe at how such a place could ever come to be. Years of labor shaped the land into what it is today; and sure you might feel admission price is a bit high, (I did), but after exploring the grounds and considering the massive upkeep necessary to keep such a place in order, it seemed much more reasonable. If you're in the area this summer or fall, stop by and see it for yourself.
  • Worth a visit, but don't expect it to be a whole day outing, unless you picnic.
