  • We first read of Opus 40 in the New York Times about a year ago and planned a trip around visiting Opus 40 because of that.
  • Fascinating work by one man - art Professor Harvey Fite. Be sure you go on a good weather day to enjoy views and walking grounds. Check out video before walking grounds. Entrance and parking can be ha...  read more »
  • Sadly we drove to this location only to feel very unwelcome. With no clear signage about parking or an admission fee, we parked our car next to another one and proceed to try and figure out what to se...  read more »
  • Opus 40 is a monument of one man's dedication to a vision. The scenery alone is breathtaking, but aside from appreciating the landscape; I found it difficult not to gape in awe at how such a place could ever come to be. Years of labor shaped the land into what it is today; and sure you might feel admission price is a bit high, (I did), but after exploring the grounds and considering the massive upkeep necessary to keep such a place in order, it seemed much more reasonable. If you're in the area this summer or fall, stop by and see it for yourself.
  • Aside from the $10 entry fee, this is a true Marvel of an experience. I have never seen such a collection of rocks in my life. A true treasure to witness you could walk around for hours before you see everything they have to offer. You really have to experience this to understand its beauty.
  • A must see work of art and dedication! Be prepared to spend hours in amazement and awe. Can't wait to go back.
  • Beautiful place, amazing sculptures, quiet gateway from hustle of New York.
  • Amazing place to walk round and view the sculptures; family friendly although not a long visit was had. Close by there are some excellent farm shops so couple your visit with some fresh produce too.
