  • It was very cold and windy when we went, but very pretty. You can bring a picnic lunch and eat on a small deck. About a 1/2 mile walk to lighthouse, but would have been a beautiful walk if not so cold...  read more »
  • As others have said it is a half mile walk to get to the lighthouse. It was great on the day I was there but i would imagine after a rain the trail may be impassible. There's a great deck at the end w...  read more »
  • Fui a campar, nos quedamos en Blue Mountain Campground. Pescamos en Saugerties Lighthouse. Y fuimos de compras en Los farmers market. La pase de maravilla!
  • The Saugreties Lighthouse is a nice place to hangout with a little area with picnic tables. There is a small hike up to the lighthouse. It's is a very pleasant hike with 2 wood bridges. I was surprised that the lighthouse was square. It was quite eloquent.
  • Amazing hidden gem in the heart of Hudson Valley, Saugerties Lighthouse is accessible trough a trail. Popular between the locals, the lighthouse itself have a little patio where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful Hudson River with family and friends. It's also pet friendly so you can bring your dogs for a nice walk.
  • It's very peaceful me & my family go as much as we can we just like to enjoy the scenery feed the ducks & seagulls sometimes we will have a nice picnic it's a very calm peaceful joyful experience
  • The hike into the lighthouse was enjoyable, if a little gross due to the mud and sand, but the lighthouse itself left a lot to be desired. You can stay there as a bed and breakfast patron, but as a mere tourist you can't get inside or explore the actual Lighthouse itself. The river around the lighthouse seems quite nice, and we even saw a few dogs playing with their owners which was lovely. If you go with relatively low expectations, you will not be disappointed.
