  • Very interesting little museum located in an armory, which is the perfect setting. The museum charts New York's involvement in every major American war, as well as state militia (later national guard) activities in between. For a relatively small space, there are many interesting and well described military artifacts, very thoughtfully organized. The museum is operated by volunteers who seem happy to guide visitors and answer questions, and admission is free. The gift shop is also worth a look, as it's sort of a thrift store of military books and collectibles that you won't find at a typical museum gift shop. When I was there, there was a collection of unassembled, new in the box model airplanes and ships from 30~40 years ago, and a great assortment of books.
  • I take my grandson there he really enjoys all the history of the different wars and there uniforms and the types of military equipment..
  • Very educational. They had a lot of displays, uniforms, weapons and vehicles from every war from the revolutionary to present.
  • Fun place to visit lots of History
  • We love the museum me and my children have been here multiple times and will continue to keep visiting its a really great place
